I was not making that appeal; it’s just that you always disgard faith as uncertainty, or unscientific, and then you made the statement that you were comfortable with uncertainty???
ONLY Christians who live in the last days before Jesus returns, have the "increased knowledge" of science, history, genetics and math which allows us to finally understand Genesis. Daniel 12:4
Oh, well, that clears it up.Perhaps some context is needed.
In this context, I am viewing "faith" as the construction of an answer in lieu of knowledge of the same.
I don't believe that one needs construct an answer for something in absence of real knowledge. I prefer to leave unanswered questions as unanswered.
The Higher Criticism and the Verdict of the Monuments by A H Sayce is a good start.
Sounds like one guy talking to at least one other guy.
Because you're a member of this forum, and seem to be trying to offer morale support to other creationists on this site.
I would think that would entail at least a minimal understanding of what your fellow creationists are posting. Do you not read their posts?
Defending other creationist but simultaneously being unfamiliar with their posting habits
Hey hey
You did not answer the question and got distracted.
Here is the question again my dear.
Why is it incredulous that the God of Abraham created the Earth?
Cheers
I have. You haven't. Perhaps you should read it before trying to disagree with what it says.Hey hey bear
Nice, a book from 1910. Have you read this book?
Cheers
Hey hey kylie
Well, ill accept that answer
Is this an example.of the trinity in Creation?
Cheers
I have. You haven't. Perhaps you should read it before trying to disagree with what it says.
When you understand the answer to my question, you'll understand my answer to yours.
I was neither distracted, nor skipping your question.
I have. You haven't. Perhaps you should read it before trying to disagree with what it says.
No.
If I go out with my husband and daughter, I might refer to the three as "us", but that doesn't mean I'm talking about myself and my work colleagues.
Likewise, it doesn't follow that the use of the word "us" in the Bible refers to the trinity. It could very well be a leftover from polytheism.
You did indeed run away from discussing evidence for evolution.
Chapter 3 is where to start.Hey hey bear
I found a free pdf, i think page 61 and chapter 3 "Babylonian element of gensis" may be of interest.
Bear - "Fairly simple, really. If you study the development of religion the pre-Hebrews were polytheists. There are several places where the bible refers to us/Elohim (a plural noun for gods). So the story is almost certainly based on an earlier iteration involving multiple gods."
In this book you have recommended, where is the info to back up your claim or is chapter 3 the right place?
Cheers
When a process random sourced trial and error one is capable of doing more than the work of inteligent people accumulated over thousands of year doing great effort. I dont believe.
Hey hey
If you say so. Ill play the ball where it lands then.
Why is it incredulous that the God of Lightning creates bolts of electricity in the sky?
Help me to understand this question and how it relates to mine? (Why is it incredulous that the God of Abraham created the universe)
What have you got?
Cheers
Once again you did your little dance and avoided the question. Let's break it into parts. Please answer each question separately:
1. Does Genesis 1:24 say cattle, beasts of the earth and creeping things are ALL "his kind"?
2. Does Genesis 1:25 say cattle, and only cattle are, in fact, "their kind"?
3. How do you explain this contradiction?
