Dear Daily Message Readers,

READ: Verses below

BIBLEGATEWAY LINK: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=joshua%207:16-21;&version=47;

After receiving feedback on the reality of hell from many readers, I felt it appropriate to take a day to post verses about our identity in Christ. If you are truly in Christ, then these are God’s promises to you because of the work of Jesus Christ.

Please prayerfully go through these Scriptures. This is the Word of God. Take it seriously.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-5 “But you, brothers and sisters, are not in the darkness for the day to overtake you like a thief would. 5 For you all are sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness.”

Romans 5:8-10 “But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, because we have now been declared righteous by his blood, we will be saved through him from God's wrath. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life?”

Ephesians 2:19-20 “So then you are no longer foreigners and noncitizens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of God's household, 20 because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.”

2 Corinthians 5:17-20 “So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away– look, what is new has come! 18 And all these things are from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and who has given us the ministry of reconciliation. 19 In other words, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting people's trespasses against them, and he has given us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His plea through us. We plead with you on Christ's behalf, ‘Be reconciled to God!’”

In Christ,
Darin Smith
