I got married because I was madly in love with my husband. All I wanted was to be with him and share a life together.

God's will was important, also. I've always felt that the verse that says to marry whomsoever you will, only in the Lord, means to marry the one you love as long as you both are "in the Lord" Because of this I felt it was in God's will for us to marry.

I voted LOVE, because I think first and foremost, we looked at each other at found that we thought the other person was capable of love in such a way that spending a lifetime with each other should (overall) be good and joyful.

That said... we did pray about it a lot, we didn't get any 'no' from God and he had seemed to be behind the relationship all along. And if we had gotten a 'no', we would've stopped.

For me it was Gods will. I only knew my husband for two or three months before we got married. Something just kept saying "he is the one I want you to be with"......I believe that was God....because at the time I was in a state of rebellion and had God not stepped in and said something I would have rejected him(my husband). Considering the things our relationship has gone through I am more convinced then ever it was God directed!!

I married for love, and I do think it was God's plan. I was pregnant when we married, and most people think that is the reason we did it. It's irritating when people make those assumptions. We knew even before the pregnancy, that we were brought together for a purpose by God. When we found out that I was pregnant, we decided to marry then instead of waiting another year.

Love. I believe that many of the situations leading us to be together were part of God's plan, but it was love that allowed us to see that in hindsight that it was a greater plan. As for timing, I'd have to agree with the others on the pregnancy issue. Free will allowed us to make some choices that should have waited until after marriage, but we saw what was the right thing to do and married sooner than planned.

I knew that I would marry my hubby the very first time I met him. I think it was definitely God's will. But the primary reason we got married was because we were madly, madly in love with each other. We were engaged less than 3 months after we met, and we got married 2 months after that...so we knew each other 5months before we got married...and it had nothing to do with pregnancy...we just wanted to be together forever. We're coming up on 8 years...

Pretty quickly I knew that he was the man that God had chosen for me, and after we started dating I fell in love with him after about two weeks so though I chose 'God's will', we also married for love.

He proposed five weeks after our first date, and we were married three and a half months later.

I love him more every day!

I put God's will. But what I really meant was that she is my soulmate. Meaning that we have a destiny together which is greater than our destinies apart. Of course, finding my soulmate, the person I was created and perpared my whole life to join with involves love and an answer to many other needs we both had. Such as wanting to have children together......have a christian home together. We were also best friends and it met companionship and spiritual fellowship needs in both of us.

Anyway, I guess it is summed up best as God's willin the sense that we have a destiny in God together.

I know what you mean, I put down LOVE, but I know it was GOD'S WILL for us to meet. I had prayed along time for someone in my life. God put her in my life and at first I did not understand it all. She did not know God when we meet, She hated God and all people of God. As time goes, She is My soulmate! No one else do I want in my life but Her. We both love the Lord with all our hearts, we praise Him together. GOD IS GOOD!!:amen:
