If you're going to put quote marks around text and attribute it to someone, it needs to be a verbatim quote. Putting quote marks around a paraphrase is misleading, if not dishonest.

Mainly because you posted something that had nothing to do with the reply I had posted.

So yguy, what WAS the outcome? I did actually read all the pages and didn't see it.

However, I do agree with you on the idea that once you do the dictator's bidding, you've pretty much shown that you'll do it again. But maybe I watch too many of those Saw movies.

Quotation marks have more than one use, and the I meant to use them to emphasize a single idea that summarizes the position I have read from you as best as I could.

I did not intend them to be read as a quote (I would have used the [quote ][/quote] markers or would have explicitly stated that I am quoting you if I did intend for it to be a quote) and I apologize if my post made it seem I did.

Though it's poor form for quotations not to be verbatim, it's not strictly necessary. He is giving your conclusion; it doesn't have to be word-for-word.

ok....umm.....since I cannot trust the dictator, and if I don't do as he says, he'll flood the chamber with gas, killing us all.

I'd fire the gun until it has no ammo, purposefully missing anyone, although I'm sure the ricochet would clip someone, and then I'd be like "Hey, I need a new clip of ammo" and then I'd shoot the guy with the new ammo (if possible), and use my super powers of telepathic mind control to make the dictator let all of the children go, then procede to make a made-for-television movie no doubt played on the lifetime channel and then make a million dollars from my new-founded mutant powers.
