  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

so last night i was trying to do my homework and heard this screaming and ran downstairs to see my parents both rocking like psychotic-robots to a band named Judas Priest. i was sure they'd lost their minds but left them to their teenage flashback and thought later ...their cool.what do your parents listen to?

My parents mainly listen to country nowadays, but my mom also has albums from The Beatles, Donny Osmond, The Monkees, Styx, Foreigner, etc. My dad listens to Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rush, and other stuff I can't remember right now, but suffice it to say "Classic Rock".

My daughter (age 19) finds it somewhat odd that her Dad still buys new music, rather than just playing the old stuff. I recently bought The Killers and Snow Patrol, and she is borrowing both CD's from me. I don't really care for rap (although "Drop it like its hot" is kind of growing on me), but it is becoming harder to find decent new rock cd's. I may be older, but I'm not dead yet!

That's just awesome!

For as long as I can remember, my parents have been into Neil Diamond, Englebert Humperdinck, Crystal Gayle, Andrew Lloyd Webber and other safe, bland stuff like that. Most of it turns my stomach, but Neil's Hot August Night live album rocked my world when I was a little kid-- I still dig it, mostly out of nostalgia methinks.

If/when God decides to bless me with a wife and family, those kids are going to be all messed up... ;)

Sweet! Judas Priest!

Anyways, my mom listens to mostly the beetles, and my dad the moody blues. Back in the day though my dad used to listen to Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper (cause I have all of his lps now!).
