• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

LL - "Republicans - What Now" was closed because the mod wrote that this thread has has a minor cleaning and it WILL be closed. I added a post, Sharon anwered it, and I followed with my reply - and then there was POSSIBLY another post. Those 3 or 4 posts were then deleted and a padlock was put on the thread.

Tulc - As I said, "Republicans - What Now" CANNOT be brought back because there is a padlock on it because it was decided that this thread had "run it's course".

PetLuv - To be honest, I'm surprised that this thread is still open or deleted.

oh ok, I didn't know that. Maybe it's because the Republicans had no new ideas and they were just defending the same old failed policies, which became quite boring to me. That redhead mod is usually fair about rules and stuff, maybe she was keeping the peace by closing your thread for it did veer off course. Bottom line...Republicans have no new ideas.

LL - I don't have a problem with threads dying. It happens every day. In fact, that thread hadn't had a post for days.
I have a problem with a thread being padlocked on a whim, which didn't have anything to do with the poor or bad content of the thread. It was PERMANENTLY closed because ONE person decided that it had "run it's course".

I'm Sorry - I have a problem with that.

ok, maybe pm redhead mod and ask for a explanation, if you haven't already done so.

And the Dem's idea that we can spend our way out of debt is so new! Spend and tax, spend and tax!

hey, wasn't that a Romney slogan?
^_^I haven't heard of that one since the republican congress cut the checks 2 years ago.
So, what are the republicans saying today?
I heard the 'R's' on Capitol Hill are learning Chicago politics the hard way.:D
