  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Luke 7: 36. And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. 37. And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, 38. And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. 39. Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. 40. And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. 41. There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. 42. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? 43. Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. 44. And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. 45. Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. 46. My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. 47. Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. 48. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. 49. And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? 50. And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

Since Jesus died on the cross 2000 years ago and his death did a major ACTION for all humanity REMOVING THE SINS OF ALL CHILDREN FOR ALL TIMES, we must show in our thoughts that it is indeed a DONE DEAL! Before John baptized him, he proclaimed by the Spirit God’s ATONEMENT WORK JESUS WOULD DO ON THE CROSS saying, “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world”! Peter also learned after Jesus’ death that, “God has shown me that I should call no man common or unclean”. This SIGNIFIES THAT REMOVED SINS IS A FACT … A PRESENT CONDITION FOR ALL! Wise children should think with a HEAVENLY UP-TO-DATE MIND, not like a backward earthling who is out of season and out of time! Your words (fruit) reveal your mental state, “by their fruits you shall know them”!

Assessing and learning from this event

Although this event happened BEFORE Jesus actually ATONED on the cross, judging people as sinners was wrong for the follower of Jesus. AFTER Jesus ATONED ON THE CROSS, the Holy Spirit showed Peter he must think “up-to-date” because the “sins of the world” do not exist anymore! YOU CANNOT CALL ANY MAN COMMON OR UNCLEAN! Since Jesus finished sin charges applying to mankind over 2000 years, YOU MUST MODIFY THE WORDS OF YOU MOUTH to be in time and season with Heaven. Speaking like a bat from hell and judging men as sinners is a reflection on your BACKWARDNESS and 2000 year old IGNORANCE! Listen to them preach! “By their fruits you shall know them”!

Luke 9:51. And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, 52. And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. 53. And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. 54. And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? 55. But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. 56. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

There are many world religions that DO NOT ACCEPT JESUS as the Son of God. Some do not think he SAVED THE WORLD OF ALL MANKIND. Some think Judeo-Christian faith is BOGUS and FALSE! So what? The real follower of Jesus who thinks like the Heavenly Father does not angrily condemn them to burn in hell fire and be destroyed with devils! We build no temples to Moses or Elijah! Those who want humans damned with devils because they refuse Jesus and or reject Christian theology need an ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT! That is the very thing devils hoped would be the fate of all God flesh and blood children! Those who want men damned for whatever reason are agents of devils, not disciples of Jesus Christ!

John 8:3. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4. They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6. This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11. She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. 12. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Now folks lets get up close and personal. Suppose you caught someone in the very act of sin. Suppose your spouse and son or daughter was found making out with a friend neighbor or lover in your own house? Let us insert that son or daughter, or spouse or friend in the place of this woman. Legalists in secular law call the act a marital crime, infidelity, or in other cases fornication. Preachers and Christians are in the place of the Pharisees and priests and stone grabbers in the crowd. What should YOUR ATTITUDE be in such instances? Do you get mad and kill the person? Do you accuse her of sin before everyone in church and demand that she “repent”. I know that is a tough one, but TRUE DISCIPLES MUST DISPLAY THE MIND OF CHRIST! WE MUST NEVER CONDEMN ANY MAN … even if we catch them in the very act of sin! Some of you will choke on that one, a very tough one to swallow! As you can see all Christians DO NOT “have the mind of Christ” and cannot do greater works than this! The law both secular and religious prescribes many remedies and punishments in its attempt to do JUSTICE and EQUITY. But God and Heaven DO NOT JUDGE AFTER THE FLESH!

Romans 8:1. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The self-righteous bigot and hypocrite

Luke 15:15. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. 17. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18. I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, 19. And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. 20. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. 21. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. 22. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23. And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: 24. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. 25. Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. 26. And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. 27. And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. 28. And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. 29. And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: 30. But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. 31. And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. 32. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

The “elder son” failed to think and behave like Jesus in all the previous situations we looked at above. He was self-righteous and willing to disobey the Father (break the 5th Commandment) out of blind rage against his “prodigal brother”. But in his conceit he failed in brotherly love and his righteousness that he assumed he had was mere “filthy rags”!

Isaiah 64:6. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Matthew 18:21. Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22. Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. 23. Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. 25. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 27. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 29. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 31. So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. 32. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 33. Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34. And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Matthew 6:14. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

How many Christians and preachers boasting in filthy rags can actually LIVE THAT ONE?! If you forgive all men their trespasses even if you catch them in the very act of sin, you will not see any human beings as “sinners”! Your teaching and preaching will reflect that HIGHEST STANDARD! Some of you need to moderate and readjust your ATTITUDE to be pleasing to God! Some of you can’t and won’t! Father rewards us accordingly! He will have to remove us from the flesh (circumcise) and RE-MAKE us over again to get us to please Him!!

Romans 8:7. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Revelation 21:5. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Ezekiel 36:24. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 31. Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. 32. Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord God, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel. 21. But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went. 22. Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
