I'm just wondering if there are any young adults that are on their own, and in a career, outside of college?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm a software engineer for a telecomm company. Life is grand. I'm plugged into a church and that is really important (was my fear moving to a place that is totally new to me, you know, no friends no family except the church family 
).
I'm also really active (with soccer, learning how to play drums, serving ministry at chruch etc). I figure that I use this time of my life to do a lot of things that I won't be able to do later (e.g. when married and then with a family), so I just keep myself occupied with healthy activities. Work is great also, I thank God for my job all the time.

My husband never went to college. He's really smart with computers, and God blessed him with an incredible job with great pay and benefits right out of high school.

I was liiving on my own for a time, but that didn't quite work out.
I'm living back at home with my parents...but still pay bills and even rent. I work as a computer operator at a college, where I'm taking classes part-time to further my knowledge.

I'm enlisted in the USMC and it's more of an experience than a job. So far I've been stationed at San Diego, Camp LeJeune NC, Japan and S.Korea. I got a four month long course in how to be an electrician/mechanic and was shipped off to Japan with basically no clue in my head as to what to do. But that is how the military operates, you learn quicker by doing your job instead of being taught it in a classroom.
At the same time I'm also a Marine so I get to do neat Marine things. Such as jungle humps, going to the rifle range, parade drill, physical training (ugg), hand-to-hand training etc.
And I'm still only 19
