  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So. Yesterday I saw Skillet and kids in the way. I worked Skillet's merch table and got their autographs and kids in the way's too. hehe. It was an !awesome! concert. You see...I work at a Christian coffee house. They have huge christian concerts 1 every...mmm...3 months. and I'm always workin the merch tables or helping them unload their guitars...yes...guitars! I have a wall full of guitar picks i had them sign. yay. Skillet, kids in the way, pod, relient K, switchfoot, oc supertones, five iron frenzy, thosand foot crutch, side walk slam....just to name a few that have been here. woooohoooo...:D

[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] you rock!LOL That's awesome. The Christian coffee houses down here don't have such big bands, although I went to one down from my house and saw Bleach there and #1 Gun. That was a pretty good concert. But yea, I would have loved meeting them. Grrr, one of these days I'm gonna catch a concert.

Much love!

I have never heard of a christian coffee house. Interesting, where abouts do these exist? I don't drink coffee, but I like the idea of christian raves and other stuff like that
There are several more than you would think. Perhaps try a search for a christian coffee house, in your area, on the internet. In Kansas City, there is a place called "New Earth" which has hosted several well knows names in Christian music.

KC has this real lil place called Westport Coffeehouse. It's probably the cutest lil coffehouse/cafe place I've been too. Then again, I favor the lil ones. Big ones are nice and fun, but not as much as the lil ones. The little ones always make ya feel like it's your own personal place. I love that.

Also I heard about one somewhere else in KS but I don't remember where, it's called the Firehouse ...or something like that, something with Fire in it. Is that the one around Fort Scott area?

If anybody knows about good ones in AL or Louisville, KY let me know, I'm road tripping that way pretty soon here.

Oh, and yeah, I've been surprised to find that most of the local-like cafes/coffehouse or Christian owned or based, it's been pretty cool to find out. You just never know I guess.

too cool. would be great to mingle with singles ya know? They don't have that kind of stuff here in Canada to the best of my knowledge

Well if I ever get around starting up a lil Christian run cafe w/ a friend of mine, I'll be sure to come up to Canada to do it, that way y'all won't have to feel left out or anything like that. ...I think Thousand Foot Krutch would have to be the 1st big name band that I'd invite, too.
