So you haven't spoken to God in a long time, a really long time. You made this big commitment, told all your family and friends, started going to church, went to bible study and bought a bible with your own name on it. THEN you never followed through. You put the bible in a draw, slept in on sundays, stopped talking to God, and eventually you just turned your back and walked away.......But now the yearning that drew you to God in the first place, is back, and now there's guilt-the guilt that comes from trying to live as if God didn't exist. Is God disappointed? Probably. Has he given up on you? No way.So what next? RETURN to God. He is kind and compassionate. He will welcome you home. And if your still not sure read what he has promised in his word the bible.........(JOEL 2 vs 12-13)......."But even now" says the LORD, repent sincerely and return to me with fasting and weeping and mourning. Let your broken heart show your sorrow. Come back to the LORD your God. He is kind and full of mercy, he is patient and keeps his promises; he is always ready to forgive and not punish....(From the Good news bible)
Time is running out, because we don't know when our lives will end. Don't let anything hold you back from returning to God.
