I'm going to state right up front that I am not a Christian. The Bible and scripture mean next to nothing to me.

So, I'd like you to prove to me that homosexuality is wrong outside of a Biblical context.

love is just a nebulous term to describe the need to mate between people, or more accurately the inflow of brain chemicals that produces that, its biologically no different than eating large quantities of chocolate

humans arent special every creature has a process like that if not that process exactly

so here is my point... the original question told us to put aside the Bible and God and answer the question. i heartily believe that without God without God there is nothing good, special or unique about people... were just another kind of animal and just like all animals rather than having some kind of special purpose were all just slaves to cold, calculated and inescapably precise scientific laws that predetermined everything about us.

love, purpose, worth and the ability to choose your own path, in my beliefs, come solely from my superstitious belief in God.

i believe in love, i had a wonderful childhood (i fell in love with my husband on a field trip when i was 8) with a big family (hello? mexican) and i believe sex is more than reproduction and relationships are more than sex and love is more than just a relationship.

but i believe that because of my belief in God... the one i was asked to suspend at the beginning of this question. and that God has made certain things lawful and certain things unlawful... one of these things is homosexuality... but along with that is hatred of homosexuals... people we are called to love

So? Are you gonna sit there and claim that people only have sex in order to reproduce? People also have sex to show affection and intimacy and, of course, becuase it feels good.

To answer your first question: a theologically very rigorous one. Despite the fact that Annette and I disagree on a multitude of theological issues, she has certainly earned my full respect (that is, in addition to the respect I would intrinsically give any fellow Christian). I would encourage you to carefully consider what she says, because Annette doesn't usually make a statement lacking a good deal of analytical reasoning.

Yes they do...but there are diffrent actions to show love on diffrent relations such as father, mother,wife and son....

Ah, I see where you're coming from now. Is your belief in God inseperable from your belief in the Bible? If there was no Bible, would you still believe in God?
