Last night, at roughly two o'clock in the morning, something happened. My roommate was fast asleep because she had an early class today (I love and adore my Tuesdays, because I don't), so I was hunched over in my bed clutching a notebook. One of my special notebooks. It's one of the nine I've been putting my novel in for the past two years. My roommate had asked me to shut off the overhead light, so in my hand was my iPod - with the backlight turned on and pointed at the page. I was writing and writing, words flowing, occasionally stopping to reword something, and then it happened...
I finished it.
I have now written an entire first draft of my beloved novel.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
^^Sorry, the emotion had to hit SOMEWHERE! I'm so happy, so relieved, so...so satisfied. Maybe this is something some of you have done before, but this is the first time I've come to this point. And while I know I'm not done - there's a wide, wide world of editing and rewriting ahead of me that I've already begun to venture into - I feel really, really good about this.
I had to tell you guys!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahaha, sorry. Thanks for indulging me.

Trying to expect a writer who just finished her first draft to actually *gasp* pay attention.....it's not gonna happen, is it? I get excited when I figure out major plot points....I wonder what's gonna happen when I'm done with the draft
That's the way it must work, I suppose. I'll be praying for you
