The Law was given to the children of Isreal as a sign against them..The Law was mainly a sign *to* the nations outside of Israel . If Israel kept the Law , the Lord would bless them . The nations would see that Israel was blessed and have a witness of the Lord that He is good . However , Israel not obeying the Law - the whole Law - they would be cursed . This would also bring a negative look un the Lord as being the "proclaimed" god of Israel -. Which is why the Lord said that He was cursed by the pagans because of those claiming to observe the Law but disobeying it .
The same goes for those promoting their god which they call the "sabbath" but do not observe all of the laws regarding the Sabbath ( none do and they all even outright refuse to do ) or the rest of the Law .
....The Sabbath was the sign to Israel of the Mosaic Covenant (Exodus 31:16-17; Ezekiel 20:12; Nehemiah 9:14). Since we are now under the New Covenant (Hebrews 8), we are no longer required to observe the sign of the Mosaic Covenant.....

Well, well, well. Somebody finally gets it! Reps for you!
Each covenant has its different regulations, and different groups of people were brought into different covenants. Saturday ceremonial observance is part of the 4th and 5th covenants (Mosaic and Davidic). We are not under those covenants, and we do not recognize those regulations. We are under the 6th covenant - Christ's covenant - and nowhere does the NT demand that Christians worship on Saturday.
As already stated, these texts are being taken out of context. We are simply not to judge i.e condem anyone on anything, this does not however mean that we are to not speak out against sin, and correct/instruct our brothern in love and righteousness. Not everyone knows the same about the sabbath or other laws of God when they begin their walk in Christ, thus we are not to judge them as if they are going to hell because of this. This in no wise is saying that we (those who know the sacredness of the sabbath) are not to keep it.Colossians 2
13When you were (AF)dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He (AG)made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
14having canceled out (AH)the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and (AI)He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
15When He had (AJ)disarmed the (AK)rulers and authorities, He (AL)made a public display of them, having (AM)triumphed over them through Him.
16Therefore no one is to (AN)act as your judge in regard to (AO)food or (AP)drink or in respect to a (AQ)festival or a (AR)new moon or a (AS)Sabbath day-- 17things which are (AT)a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

The sabbath day of rest is not a shadow of anything. The festival sabbaths were however, which is why they no longer stand, along with sacrificing animals, and coming to the temple with an offering, and having a priest intercede on your behalf to God. Those things were of the old order and no longer apply since Christ died.
The sabbath day of rest as stated in the 4th commandment has in no wise been changed or done away with. It was instituted before there was a jewish nation and it will be obseved after Christ returns. The laws against homosexual relations was given in the "old law", yet no one says that that was done away with. The sabbath and marriage have been under assult by the devil. These institutions were established by God and reveal Him as creator and ruler. Some people don't know, others do and do not care. God however reads the heart and knows those that are His. The importance of the sabbath will be revealed and proclaimed more fully with greater power in due time, than will men make their final choice as to whether they will obey the entire law of God, or the law of man.

Short and to the pointyes.
[Answering OP] No. Never did, never will.
That is just three days in the Lord's books and He hasn't changed.. nor will he on this issue... and that is what you really should consider.. what God thinks.. not man...Moses lived over 3000 years ago when the Law was given. Is there any historical indication whatsoever that weeks were reckoned by 7 days thousands of years before that event?
And please don't point to Genesis 1 for your answer, because that was written at the time of Moses, and those passages should not to be taken literally. I'm taliking about historical evidence.

I abide in Christ. Christ said that if you love Me you'll keep my commandments. To part from the law is to sin against the Lord. Salvation is not by the law, we are however to keep the law. Once again I'm sure that we'll agree that adultrey, muder, worship of other gods, etc is wrong. By grace are we saved through faith, yet faith without works is dead. We keep the law because we love God, but we do not look to the law for salvation, because the law brings death. My question is this: Are you abiding the Law or are you abiding Christ?
