• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I know this may sound a bit hypocritical...but I would rather say it anyway. NOT GOOD! A person is nto meant to lose that much weight in only 2 days. You are going to collapse if you keep doing that. I watched a friend do that. I dont' wanna to hear of another one doing it. I know..sorry I am the last person that shoudl be telling you to stop...but I say it out of Love!

Whoa... that's a lot for 2 days. I hate to burst your bubble, but it was probably 1 pound of fat and 6 pounds of water, if not more water. Regardless, people who lose weight quickly also almost always gain back that weight quickly and what's horrible is they gain more than they lost in the first place.

Not trying to be rude, but accepting that truth helped me to have a lot better outlook on what I was doing to my own body at one point. These quick and easy ways never work, or everyone would do them! Also, God wouldn't give us such an easy way to get what we want that would hurt us.

That's great beetle... just hope you're doing it safely. I just wonder why someone would post about their weight loss in the recovery section if they were being completely healthy about it. But I don't know what you're doing... perhaps you are doing everything right. I hope that's the case... and no one's mad, I promise.

Hun the slower you loose the weight the slower you will put it back on, you are not that overweight and the BMI presumes that all your weight is fat, it does not take into acount the fact that muscle weighs more than fat

I am overweight and need to lose several pounds but that doesn't mean i'm going about it in the right way or that I don't have a bulimia. Most bulimics (not all) are of normal body weight or over. Now you've already said you were bulimic and we all know that is how you are losing weight. If you want to lose weight fine but this is not good. I have been on both ends of the scale literally and because of the ED mindset I was never happy! 7 pounds in 2 days might make you happy now because you see "progress" but you won't be happy with how you look no matter how much weight you lose! Sweetie please take some advice from a long time sufferer and please get help soon! Oh and those stupid body mass charts and weight charts are a bunch of junk and that's all! They don't calculate muscle mass, bone structure, or bulid! Please don't take them as gospel.:doh:

Saleta - you haven't been preachy at all. I will be happy once I'm skinny that's the main thing. I don't know if I am bulemic or not - other people have told me that I am, it doesn't mean that I actually am!!! I am in control of losing weight - i have the control. I'm really fine!!!
