CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Everyone!I don't think so, PP.
It's taken me about a week and a half to fix, but I still don't know exactly what the problem was. 
I just know my little guy changed something. I did a system restore and that seems to have fixed it. I won't embarrass myself by telling you all how long it took me to FIND how to do a system restore. But I am going to have words with my darling husband about why he didn't try it sooner.

I'm not sure what your problem was, but the majority of computer problems can be traced back to spyware or adware.
My suggestion is to download SpyBot (http://beam.to/spybotsd) and AdAware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/). Both are free and are very effective for cleaning your system.

Tom, I have no idea what a Service Pack 2 is, and I don't install anything. Ever. I don't know if my hubby put it on or not. But I will ask him.
DT, we've got a couple of programs for security on this system since it is the one the older children are allowed to use (for filters and so forth). I don't know what they are aside from the Norton AntiVirus and the SpyWare (007 something?). But thanks for the tips!
