Everyone in our house is sick as a dog - except me (somehow....miraculously.) Wife is upstairs feverish, achy, coughing and miserable...our daughter has been for the past 2-3 days...now our 5 month old seem to have caught it and spent the past half hour yacking up on me.

Dunno how I've escaped it so far, as I've become the caretaker of everyone and haven't been keeping any kind of boundaries.

...maybe this bug is saving the best for last.

I had a bug try to get me this morning. Some saline solution with diluted peroxide up the nose seems to kill off a lot of stuff and prevent a nasal infection for me. It seems to have worked a couple of times, or works if I catch it on time.

Echinacea is also good to prevent anything that may be going around. I use it at times (as does VG) as a preventative measure if I feel something coming on. It's best used to strike before anything takes hold. So if I feel a sore throat or something of that nature, using it for a few days will help keep a cold/flu at bay for me.

If I feel something coming at me, I try to put myself to bed immediately, take an extra multi-vitamin, drink as much water as I can to flush my system out, and sleep as much as possible. Lack of sleep is a sure-fire way for me to get sick, so rest is key for me.

It's going around here too. We have colds-yuck! My husband thought he escaped, but it got him too! Feel better blessings to your family.
