  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I believe that two house theology (at least one version) goes something like this. Persons known today as Jews are from the nation of Judah (after the split in the United Kingdom following the death of Solomon) while so called gentile believers are from the 10 northern tribes of the nation of Israel. Since these believers are in fact part of the whole house of Israel that received Torah at Sinai then they are to keep Torah. Essentially it is a variation on British/Anglo Israelism that teachs that the various nations of Europe are descended from the ten "lost" tribes of Israel. Since much of the US population is European that makes US part of the lost tribes.

S

oooooo.
ok thanks
So its not really the Christians are the new isreal thing but that Christians(or rather those who fall into the loose category of the "lost ten tribes") are actually the old Isreal also.
Alright, i geddit

Thanks again

OIY - I'd have to agree with HT after reading that site

MalkyEL:

I think that was what HT was trying to expose when he posted “Higher Truth speaks out”.

Quote:

There are many books currently circulating in this movement that I often wonder about. In peoples search for new esoteric information, many are accepting anything looking remotely hebraic as gospel truth. It is amazing that there are so many authors who have grown up in suburbia in "ethnic homes", and then in their thirties or forties they realize that they may have something that they can "market" because of their Jewishness [which some falsely manufacture], change their names, write a few books, and everyone eats it up like candy, hanging on every word. People are always talking about the "mysteries", when they have not even mastered what is written in the surface text. It is a "mystery" to me that A Most High Righteous Elohim keeps on putting up with us. The fact that He does is a true definition and demonstration of His longsuffering, and unselfish love.

However, I respect his honesty in stating his past. Many messianic 'leaders' will try to deceive who they are.

MalkyEL:

I was involved with Yati for a couple of years, and I do not think that honesty is what this is all about.

I personally believe that many of the Europeans descend from the 10 tribes of Israel as does Yair Davidi and Rabbi Avraham Feld (both Orthodox Jews) and their organisation in Israel. In fact I gave a talk to their group on Davidic genealogy when I was living in Jerusalem.

However according to Rabbinic Judaism for the purposes of Jewish law (Halakah) the descendants of the 10 tribes are considered as gentiles and must convert to Judaism to be classified as Jewish and to observe Halakah. This is also true for the Chin and Mizo of Asia who claim to be of the Tribe of Manesseh. I am not very well informed about Two House theology but what I gather from this board they believe in non Jewish Israelites observing Jewish customs. Is this correct?
