  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It's got a sneakier way of shovin' those ads into email boxes where they cannot be deleted or marked as "spam".

Anybody got any ideas on how to thwart this sneakiness or stomp it (cyber-wise, of course ;) )

and don't come on here defendin' Yahoo or we're gonna haf'ta haves a food fight :p

I'm not defending them (even though I have a Yahoo account), but I admit I don't quite know what you're talking about. I've let them extort the $20/year from me so that I don't see ads, and stuff I do get either goes to Spam or can easily be marked as such.

Care to elaborate?

I heard on the news this morning that their new boss is making some major changes.

So far, she's changed the logo. :3
In addition to changing the logo a few times, they've now made it so that you have to sometimes switch folders in order to see what's new in your current folder. Some significant improvements ;-(

i'll see if i can explain...

Directly above my emails, is what looks like another email, but there's no li'l square box to check off to delete or send to spam, etc. In essence it's an "ad" that Yahoo! apparently inserted there. It cannot be deleted or gotten rid of. It's not an email, because when you click on it, the ad opens up and there's no return email address, etc. it's an ad.

Hmm. I don't see anything like that, so either it's because I pay the $20/year or because of my browser (Chrome) and its nifty "AdBlock" plugin. Assuming you don't want to pay the $20, try accessing your Yahoo account with Chrome using AdBlock and see if it's still there.
