Hi can you guys tell me your favorite xbox games i want to buy an xbox and if you can a little bit about the xbox.

As a self confessed nintendo fan girl it is my job to mindlessly hate xbox. *Smashes xbox with hammer*

But taking my biasim aside, Jade Empire looks great, ign gave it a 9.9, I mean, barley any games have surprased that score, and in this generation of gaming, I don't think IGN have given a score that high! Maybe resident evil 4 got it... but whatever, check it out, its a must.

GTA3+vice city.. etc. The main games, but i also like AMPED and James Bond and Metal Gear Solid. Just get one, they are awsome (although i havent played mine in ages.)
But the games i like are proabably way different to yours.

Get the "s" controller. The big one feels like a boomerang.

But those are all shooting games -_- personally, I'm not a big fan of FPS. If you're going to get a console, I say get the ps2 if you're a casula gamer, and gamecube if you love nintendo franchises. Besides, ps2 has basically everything xbox has got to offer and more. Like its got good fps if you're into that (Half life 2) Good platformers, good adventures (Jak 2, 3 and ratchet and clank 2 and 3, the first ones of each series were platformers. Plus, Ratchet and clank 3 has a awesome online mode) beautiful RPGs... the console is just swarming of RPG's (final fantasy) and awesome racing games (grand turismo) so yeah XP Thats if you don't already have it... otherwise if you do and are looking for a new console, get a gamecube, because that offers something new, with xbox doesn't.

The new Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is a top notch game. They really did well making that game.

Forza
Rainbow Six: Lock Down

That should keep you busy for awhile. It covers boxing, racing, FPS, and a 3rd person spy game.

These games produce top notch graphics that are simply too much for ps2 to run.

Other good games that are only 20$ each.
Metal Gear Solid what an awesome game this is.
Soul Caliber 2 (buy the fighting stick, trust me on this)

Xbox has the potential to have superior graphics, but the most impressive PS2 games are much better than the XBox games, imo. I have seen nothing on XBox that even comes close to the cutscenes in FFX (haven't played X-2 yet, and XII looks incredible).

I personally prefer PS2 to xbox because it has more and better RPGs, but xbox does have the two KOTORs, Fable, and Morrowind.

Even if the graphics are inferior, does it really matter? The difference is tiny. Besides, graphics don't make a game, nor does good hardware. Oot is a classic that will go down in history, and better than a good majority of games today, yet it has inferior graphics. <.<

Fact, Graphics alone don't make a good game, but graphics have been known to help make a great game.
You can't point to any one thing that makes for a great game, you can only point to a collection of things that pull together to make a great game.

Grand Turismo 4 was put side by side to Forza (xbox's race sim).
Hands down Forza smokes GT4's graphics. Plus Forza is online.

It has been said that xbox doesn't have RPG's.
But now we have Fable, Kotor's and now Jade Empire(up for game of the year and has such a buzz around it with shocking high ratings).

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (another game that is up for game of the year)
This game is almost too good to be true.
Better looking than any other console game....ever.
They say graphics don't make a game, but these graphics sure don't hurt anything.

Halo2
This game didn't live up to the hype.
With that said, PS2 doesn't have anything close that could touch it.
Then bring on all of the Ghost Recons(the last one's graphics match those of top end computers) all of the Rainbow Six 3's.

Online
Forget it, Xbox all the way.
The thing was designe primarily for online usuage, and it has paid off.
Less lag, less cheating, all games have voice chat, and basicly this is where xbox shines over PS2 more than any other area.

So xbox has the best FPS's, racing games, sports games, fighting games, online, and arguably the best RPG's.

Xbox dominates in quality, and all at the same cost as PS2.

One should know that a CGI movie is different from gameplay. CGI is planned out, predictable. The player is not. Hense why graphics are better in cutscenes.

And Xbox does have superior graphics. Look at Doom 3 and Chronicles of Riddick.

I think you're confused. PS2 and Gamecube have smoother looking graphics alot, because alot of their games are platformers. However, Xbox graphics are better because they look more real and have better detail.

I get what you are saying. Yeah, I can agree with that. I personally don't usually distinguish between "animated" and "real life" graphics, but if you do that, then yes, I agree, xbox looks more "realistic".

My favorite games would be Halo 1 and 2, the Splinter Cell series, KOTOR 1 and 2, and the LotR games.

50% of all X-box owners have Halo or HaloII or both. It is the best game ever!

I was honestly never terribly impressed with PS2... I went from PS1 to Xbox. Borrowed my brother's PS2 and played it for several months, and, IMHO, it doesn't compare to Xbox. But that's just me - I'm a loyal Xbox fan.
I love the LOTR games... and I also enjoyed Jedi Knights of the Old Republic.
