Xbox live question

I've got a quick question. I'm probably going to get an Xbox for Christmas and my bro wants one too. My question is....do we need 2 subscriptions to Xbox live? Or since we're using a router we only need to subscribe to one? Thanks for any help you can give me!

Two suscriptions. Each box needs to sign in to be allowed to play Live. A router simply splits the network connection to the two boxes, no more.

i dotn have an e-xox and im still living! isnt that cool?

You can however play allot of the Live games splitscreen if you want to try it out before commiting to two subscriptions.
