lol Cussing is the LEAST of the problems online.

How bout the racial slurs? The vulgar sexual comments? The crude attitudes?

Bleh.

well you know what i mean.cussing stuff like that. i have ben playing Xbox live for more then a year now and i know what it's like online.

Evary one cusss...other then me. and one of my friends thats a christian, people that are new to Xbox live cuss way to much just to fit in but people that have ben playing it longer know that they dont need to cuss to be cool. i mess people on halo 2 by buging them til they starting cussing at me and then they let thare guard down. unless i am talking to a cussing griffer then it's useless.

But i dont know what it's like online in japan.

I'm thinking that you have a problem.

Have you ever heard of rice fever?

they have evary thing...
No they don't. :)
Girls with terrible teeth. The girls look good from far, but far from good!
video games...
They have video games in your country too, and they cost less where you live as well!

good food...
There's good food everywhere, and for cheaper. You can eat Japanese food in America for cheaper than you can in Japan.

So does your country... and you can even understand it!

but no army;)
There's a reason for that... Have you ever been to Hiroshima? It was bombed for the same reason that the UN/USA doesn't let them have an army. They are ruthless and greedy killers when they want to be, who follow their unjust leaders before they follow logic. Japan isn't the only place like that either.

I wonder how they work that place?
Charge by the hour?
Oh yeah. Think 1000 yen/hour, plus registration fee (maybe 500 yen). It's not cheap.

look at that, Big LCD TV! dang i wish i lived in japan!
i would sit thare playing video games for hours...and when some one comes and tells me to stop i would say. get your own 360!, even if the person works thare.
Where would you get the money to play video games for hours in a room where you're charged 1000 yen/hour? Something tells me that if they told you to stop, probably because you're out of money, they wouldn't take very kindly to you telling them to get your own X-Box 306. You'd just be kicked out. Then you'd be wandering the streets in the most expensive country in the world.

How bout the racial slurs?
That would definetely exist online in Japan, as well as everywhere in Asia. Racism is so common here that it's the expectation; rather than the exception. The Japanese are very racist against other people. The irony of what I just said is that it was racist too! :D

I love Japan, I really do, but that country is not the lovely place that us westerners like to think it is. It's pretty and lovely at first glance, but the veins of sin run deep though it. It's full of racism, intolerance, paper-crimes, sex crimes, sexism, lies, trickery, bribery, etc. Plus, it's stupidly expensive. If you really want to go there, make sure that you have MONEY (and lots of it).

If any country is in need of Christ, Japan is near the top of the list.

Thats a little...harsh....

8 bucks an hour plus 4 bucks to register? Sounds pretty sweet to me, better than what most gaming dives out here charge. Usually its 20 bucks to register 10 an hour, 5 if your lucky or if its a REALLY crappy place.

And I have met some VERY attractive Japanese girls in my time :) Granted they were just tourists and didnt speak a word of English, but they were still quite attractive.

We have all that here, we're just more blatant about it.

How is it more expensive? 1 dollar is equal to 200 yen. My uncle lived in Japan for years, his wife is Japanese. He used to send me stuff all the time that cost him PEANUTS in American money but would cost 50 or 60 bucks over here

Well, yeah. It is. It's also true.

Really? I've never been to a gaming place in the States. To me it seems expensive, especially when the gaming rooms in Korea are only about $1 an hour! The arcades are amazingly cheap in Korea (I have been to American arcades). It's 100 won (about 10 cents) per credit here. In Japan, it's 30 yen per credit (about the same as in the USA). :D

And I have met some VERY attractive Japanese girls in my time :) Granted they were just tourists and didnt speak a word of English, but they were still quite attractive.
Hey, I've met some VERY attractive Japanese girls too. Next time you meet some, look at their teeth. 7 out of 10 Japanese girls have bad teeth (my estimate, but it's generally well known that they have bad teeth). Dental hygiene in Japan does not seem to be a priority.

It's everywhere, but many people seem to have the idea that Japan is better than what it really is. Don't get me wrong, love the country, but I just thought I'd try to shed some misconceptions. :)

One dollar (US) is NOT equal to 200 yen. Maybe the exchange was that good a decade ago. The current exchange is ranging between 110-120 yen/$ 1USD.

How long ago did your uncle live in Japan? I've been there five times in the past eight months. The Japanese economy, while still strong, is not what it was years ago.

It's well documented that Japan is the most expensive country in the world. Personally, I've been to both the USA and Japan. Both are expensive, but Japan is the harder of the two on your bank account.

Thats rather arrogant
Everyone is in need of Christ. Even you. All of us are arrogant. For sure I am.
God is perfect and we are not even close. We are always doing evil things, such as denying our maker and being selfish; thinking of ourselves before anything else. God cannot stand this. That is why we need Christ Jesus to mediate between man and God. Because of Christ, God forgives us of or idiotness.

Computer places in the US generally follow the same prices, if I went by your estimate, its slightly cheaper in Japan than it is here.

That hasnt been my experience with the Japanese women I have met here

Your right, I read the exchange numbers wrong. Its currently 119.

He lived there about a year ago, he moved back here for school. And Im sure Japan is like the US, it depends where you go how expensive things are.

Cool.

Probably because they have money to spend on a dentist.

I don't think to the same extent. When I talk to people about the US in Asia, most of them seem to have it about right. On the other hand, most people in North America that I've talked to about Japan, that are of our generation, have no idea about Japan. They paint it to be a much nicer country than it is. (It is still a nice country though)

Travel is extremely expensive. So are acomidations. Everything is just "a bit more", but "a bit more" really does add up. Basically, most places in Japan are like the most expensive American cities. If you're used to that, then you won't be too surprised (until you get into a taxi -- ouch!).

Well, no offense but I NEVER had Christ and Im doing pretty well.[/font]
You're missing out.

Are you curious about Christ at all? If not, then why are you hanging around a Christian forum?

As we all know, you're ugly if you have bad teeth, right?

Take a quick hop to France and wear an American flag pin, youll see my point.

Like I said, its probably dependant on where you are, if its a touristy area, then yeah its gonna be expensive. Same as here

Not really, Christ was just a man in my opinon.

If not, then why are you hanging around a Christian forum?
Couple reasons.

1) Debating- I love to debate and discuss different topics. It makes me think about my own convictions and it makes other people take a good look at thiers.

2) Mis-conceptions- Ive seen ALOT of misconception about many things being thrown around here and I figgure I can have some small part in fixing that

3) Boredom- Im holding out for a job right now so I have ALOT of time on my hands and quite frankly I gotta get rid of it somehow

Not sweet Were I lived before it was 4 bucks an hour and you didn't have to pay registration and if you played split screen your buddy could pay 2 bucks and you pay 2 bucks now that was sweet.
