X-Files?

I am a huge sci-fi fan, so it is surprising that I didnt like it, seeing as it was the longest running American sci-fi show (haha, beat by Stargate, YESSSSS!!). So someone liked it, dont know why I didnt. Well actually I do know why, it was too weird. I am into pure chivalry sci-fi (i.e. Stargate), lol, thats just what I call it.

Great show. I never really was able to watch it regularly, but I've always liked it. I catch the occaisional rerun on the SciFi channel every now and then, but one of these days I'm going to have to get it all on DVD.

SciFi channel is getting more of my attention lately. Between reruns of The X-Files, Stargate (SG Atlantis seems a bit stupid/corny from what I've seen though, unfortunately like too much of SF channel's stuff), and now they're getting me hooked on Battlestar Gallactica...

I've seen one episode (from season 4 I think ) and was just grossed out. I felt like I was watching some B horror movie...

Well, there are a least a couple of episodes I remember that were intentionally made to have that "cheap horror movie" feel

Yeah... a lot of them are made to have the feel of a campy horror movie. It's part of the appeal. Don't you ever turn on the SciFi channel and laugh at the giant anacondas trying to eat people? (not an X-Files episode... just typical SciFi channel fare).

I just have rabbit ears, no cable or dish, so I'm mostly stuck with 24 unless I get a season of something on DVD.

For those interested, the X-Files episode I saw from season 4 was "Home" (sometimes listed as "Home is where the heart is," or so Google leads me to believe). Apparently, after googling, it appears it's the "worst" X-Files episode made... hmm...
Might have to watch some more episodes and see how I like them.

The X-Files is my all time favorite show...it's weird, I'm weird...it's a good fit. I own all 9 seasons and thankfully, my husband is a big fan as well. The last couple of season were horrible but I bought them because my collection wouldn't have been complete without them.

I used to watch it unitl about season 7 or 8 when Mulder left... and it got repetative. it was interesting but i just got bored of it after so long. plus, it came on sudany right after church and i missed it a lot my freshman year of college - and i stopepd watching tv so commitedly when i got into college - it was too much of my life.

I used to watch it, and it was quite good. Unfortunately, I just couldn't watch it every time, so I got lost and didn't know what's going on... That's why I don't really watch any TV series now.

Its a great show, I actually used to watch that show all the time when it was on the air and the church I was going to this past summer had a small group where we would get together Sunday nights just to watch old episodes of X-Files. That was fun

YES! I was and am a huge fan of the X-Files. However, I do not consider the last two seasons to be true X-Files. You can't have the X-Files without Mulder, it just doesn't work! I stopped watching after the 8th season - the only reason I watched that season was because they kept promising that Mulder would be back. But I thought the way they ended the show was a complete let-down. However, Seasons one through 7 are the best TV show ever!

Anybody want to list some favorite episodes?

liked the show before i was saved. but since then i think it is part of the problem with tv today. full of false teaching, half truths, and bad acting. just remember you can only pour out what you pour in. food for thought
