2 Timothy 3:16 says " That all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete thoroughly equipped for every good work. Even 2 Peter 1:21 states for prophecy never came by the will of man , but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
And I maintain that your holy book is every bit as authoritative as the Book of Mormon, the Diamond Sutra, the Q'uran or the Analects of Confucius, which is to say: The opinions, justified or not, of the men who wrote them.
You are trying to attack me when you are saying that the apostles & prophets only wrote their opinions in the bible.
No. I say nothing about you. The "apostles & prophets" certainly wrote their opinions, whether those came from God, the devil, or their own disordered imaginations.
Are you even a Christian?
No. I could explain why, if you are interested, but this thread is not the place.
Because you perceive that the Word of God big G has to be taken directly at face value my friend if you do that you will never get "revelation" of God's Word.
I take that to mean that if I don't agree with you, I am disagreeing with God.
Every beliver of Jesus Christ knows that the Bible is the infallible Word of God.
I know many people who esteem Jesus and his teaching without believing the Bible to be "Bible is the infallible Word of God". I can believe that Jesus tried to teach us how to live without believing in the Bible, the virgin birth, miracles, or the resurrection.
Why? Because they have the Holy Spirit which bears witness with their spirit.
When I worked in a mental hospital one of my patients thought that he was Jesus Christ, and he was quite certain of it, because God told him it was so.
I'm not going to waste time arguing with you on this matter.
Why should you? After all, you are as infallible as the Pope.
I will Never want to "rule" in His stead.. He is my ruler my life my Lord
Jim Jones, Ted Haggard, and Torquemada have said the same.
No. I challenge your self-aggrandizing ideas.
... but the Word says "touch not my anointed & do my prophets no harm God bless you that you will stand for the Word.
I didn't touch you, even though I doubt that you are annointed by God to be a king, which is what the "annointing" signifies. ("Christos" means "annointed" and is used as a synonym for "king".) As for your being a prophet ... When are they going to include your book to the Canon?
Just asking!
