Wrong name in the fish??

I saw a bumper sticker yesterday and it was a Jesus fish but it had Darwin written in it and it had little legs! I wanted to jump out of my car and rip it off the car! I guess that might have been ummm illegal or offensive or something. Instead I sped up and then passed him (carefully and in a responsible way) and tried to stay close enough so he could see MY fish and the name JESUS in it and my other sticker that says "Prayer is not a crime" we need to really start outwardly proffesing our faith. People are out of control! Go out and buy yourselfs a big fat bumper sticker that says JESUS IS THE WAY!!!!!!!!

That's okay, there are now stickers that show the Jesus fish eating the Darwin fish, saying, "Survival of the fittest."

(My wife has enough trouble with my "Bush-Cheney" window sticker.)

Someone once told me that those Darwin fish could symblolize Christian's that believe in evolution.

A few of my favorite bumperstickers are 'God is too big to assigned to one religion' and 'God is coming and boy is SHE ticked.'

How does one a ddress such deep theological concepts?

I just think it is wrong to place ANY name inside that fish that is not Jesus. I think if you are Christian and believe in evolution that is one thing but let's let Jesus have his very own fishee, Darwin can have a turtle or something

I never said it did. I support Tibet against the Chinese also.
But it's much rarer for a Conservative to plaster their car with bumper stickers. Not impossible, but rarer.
And the Liberals seem to have a catechism of their own that tells them what bumper stickers are authorized for their vehicles.

In addition, the two stickers I mentioned are almost always accompanied by "Pro-Choice" stickers, pro-gay stickers, Howard Dean stickers, etc., etc. for at least half a dozen stickers total.

Yikes! Personally I think any sticker is kind of tacky, but then, I don't have my own car so I can't comment much. Although some stickers can put their sentiment in a tactful matter of fact way, most are just "IN YO FACE". (Which is why I think we all need to carefully consider if the messages we put on our car and the manner we deal with other drivers is edifiying)

The Darwin fish is a blatant attack against Christianity . .. the first time I saw it I was angry . .


Then, later I saw the "Survival of the Fitest" bumper sticker . . I was grinning from ear to ear!

Well, I actually wanted to have both a Darwin Fish and a Normal Fish on the back of my car. (I believe in "theistic evolution," though evolution as we know it has some definite flaws).

But my girlfriend said it was tacky....women!
