  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, I am putting this in after doing this... Getting another username and pretending to be someone else as a newbie. I felt really guilty and I am really sorry. I just wanted another cf pet but didn't know what got into me. Anyway, I think it is a lie, and it is wrong. I was wondering what you'll thought about it though... I was just so embarressed, had to come clean with it. I definitely think it is wrong morally...

I can understand that the CF pets are fun and you wanted another one. It's probably best to consider this a learning experience, and I think it says good things about you that you were willing to confess what you had done.

I think you are making too much of it. Your entitled to do whatever you want, there are no 'rules' other than those stated for these forums. If you want to get a new account so you can have a new pet, or change your name, or just have a clean slate that is perfectly ok with me. You can let people know if you want by posting something in you Sig about your old user name but that's entirely up to you. I frequent many online forums and folks routinely cancel/create new accounts for various reasons and nobody cares.

Well, I only posted once with the other username, Lol, but I did it in a complete lying mode. I just don't like to lie. I don't like anything unrighteouss... I can hardly stand my mind at times when I can't stop thinking about being hurt all the time. Shot and stuff... Do you'll think that is morally wrong, sin? I don't know where it comes from but it seems like a losing battle at times though I am getting better taking lexapro.

It would seem that it would depend on what christian you ask as to if that is a sin. Since you are "saved by Christ's blood" does it really matter if it is a sin or not?

To me it does... I know it is forgiven if it is sin but the thing is, if I continuously do it, then it is like taking advantage. I hate that. I feel like I can't stop at times.

I just have to keep trying though you know. I feel so good right now, I think that is the part. All sin and fall short of God's glory but by Him we can also learn and grow and get back up again. God is so awesome!!!
