What drives you? For me, it's sharing the things I've seen. Suffering is more worthwhile if others learn from it too.

I like writing. But I can't decide if writing likes me. She runs hot and cold, gives mixed signals, and can be a downright capricious little vixen. But the reward--ah, the rewards...

I consider both of those activities "writing."

I had a creative writing professor in college who said an integral part of the writing process is "couch time." He was a great old guy, I loved him. (Except that he wouldn't give us a grade on "couch time.")

I couldn't imagine life without writing. Like, if society suddenly devolved and there was no paper or pencils, I think I would write on the ground with a stick.

I am driven by the concept of the isolation and loneliness of mankind, and I want to portray the honor and the dignity of those people who, in the face of opposition, stay true to themselves and to their cause; I think that this is the greatest expression of humanity and it is the central idea in a lot of the things that I write and the way that I live my life. It is sort of existential.

However, I also write because sometimes it is beautiful.

* Why else would God teach us to communicate if others weren't to benefit? Be it a story of experience , or in older times, a message such as, 'The army is coming for you. Our village was wiped out.'

I have a severe disease and enlightening others helps me bear it easier.
