Writing Contest

This is a writing contest, and anyone can join as long as they follow the rules. There will have to be both writers and judges. The 1st place prize right now is 1,200, the 2nd prize is 800, and third prize is 269 blessings. As I post more, each will go up.

Writers Rules
1. There can be no sex or unnecessary language.
2. You can write on any subject.
3. Have fun
4. The deadline for entering is November 28, 2006
5. The deadline for stories is December 6, 2006
7. This is a short story contest, so please keep the story no longer then ten posts, or 7Word pages.
8. If your post is more then 1 post, you can create a thread and post the link here. If it is one post, just post it here then.
Judges Rules
1. A judge cannot enter a story
2. A judge cannot vote for a story just because they like the catagory that the writer chose (i.e. I vote for someone because they wrote Science Fiction, not because it was well written)
3. A judge cannot tell any contestants who voted for their story.
4. A judge cannot vote for someone's story just because they are friends with them.
If you feel that you cannot abide by these rules, don't become a judge.

Yay! people joined. Someone anonymously blessed me, so the prizes have been hired.

CelticRose, if your story is just one post, then yes you may post it here. But if it is more then one, create a thread in the writing section or wherever you want, and post the link here.

Hm, no judges yet. Oh well, I'm impatient. I can't believe that I just posted this yesterday and already more then one person as said they'll join! I should be thankful. If anyone knows of someone who'd make a good judge, please ask them. Or tell me who and I'll ask them. Thanks,

I am a member of another writing forum. I thought I could post a request for members of that forum to fill in as judges for this one. It never hurts to ask. (and of course they would be barred from voting for my story )

Yea, there are now three judges. Four if I can be one. Do you know if that's okay? If lots more people join, we'll need more judges, but if not, I think we about have enough.
