  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"The Antioch Writers' Workshop has a long-standing reputation for creating a setting where participants can interact daily with faculty, staff, and special guests on an informal basis. You may find yourself talking with an editor or agent after a session of The Writing Life, discussing writing styles with your intensive instructor over lunch, or chatting with one of the morning instructors between classes. This one-on-one interaction has proven to be a truly enriching experience for participants for over 17 years.

Our workshop is professional and intense, but at the same time you will find the environment supportive and nurturing. Many participants have credited AWW with giving them the confidence they needed to begin writing, keep writing, or gain insight into writing in a new genre."

"Two scholarships for tuition to the workshop are available. Participants may attend all workshop classes and events, and one afternoon intensive session. Recipient is responsible for transportation to the workshop, and for room and board."
