Writers needed for record attempt

I know that there are a number of us here who write fiction, so here's something that you might be interested in. A writer friend of mine is trying to put together an attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record for the most number of authors contributing to a single anthology. The current record is 50, but he wants to smash it completely by getting 100 authors.

Stories need to be between 3,000 and 8,000 words, but can be any genre as long as they haven't been published before. More information can be found here: Guinness World Records Approves CEP’s attempt at an Anthology Record!!

The project is being coordinated through Facebook, so you will need to be on there in order to take part. The easiest way to sign up is probably to go to the official Facebook page and send a message there: CEA Greatest Anthology Written

Do contributors get paid for this?

No payment. Partly because it would be too difficult to organise payments for 100 authors, but also because copies are going to sold as close to cost as possible in order to move them - a certain number needs to be sold to qualify for the record.

Sounds interesting but I do not really like Facebook, and the idea of giving out my Facebook to people I do not know for a project. Still, sounds like a great idea.
