*Laughs* So you've noticed how bankers have been doing gravity checks from windows and ledges from tall buildings also? I'd like to push some more out,,,,

It has been said that war is simply peace by another process. True or not I grow weary of it. I'm tired of going to the hospital and seeing young men and women with limbs blown off. My heart is in pain when I see a little child of 4 years old told "Daddy's not coming home". I grow furious with anger at our leaders for letting these fine outstanding men and women be hurt without a just cause.

At least my dog's quit itching. Bought some of that anti-itch spray from Martha Stewart at Petsmart, undid the bottle and poured it all over the old dog. First good night's sleep he's had in months. Food allergies- he's 14 or 16 years old and he's tired. *Whimsical look* Old wife, old dog, old trucks, old man,,,,I'm detecting a pattern here,,,,I need older whiskey, younger horses and fresh tack as leather wears out.

Friend of mine just paid $85 for 1/5th of single malt scotch. Funny how scotch works- drink it straight and it tastes awful. Pour in some water and funny things happen- it gets a woodsy, caramel flavor thats pleasant to inhale.

("...well it's been a while since I drank anything much, perhaps a glass of dry white to an occasional sunset, otherwise it's coffee as I mentioned before..." repeated the goblin who had just come back from trying to enroll for a sign language course to kill both his time and his curiosity, adding "...just a way of flexing my brain to my eyes I guess, but they then told me that the next course starts in october so I promised myself not to go deaf before then then, whereas the rest is just what happens between the superpowers I suppose...", yes the goblin felt that his was to witness, adding "...to witness fine, yet to experience is going to be a bit harder on my part...")

I'd love to respond to this but I have to yell at my wife. Here CD player died that's used to reprogram her subconscious using hypnosis to lose weight and she's freaking out.

~~~~~temptst fuget
Well, after picking up the rest of my equipment, buying the wife a new CD player that worked for 2 minutes before dying, and taking a nap,,,,life goes on. but it is what it is.
Tomorrow she gets to go to "Best Buy" to replace it. My $300 scinnlator probe came in for the 700- now if the rest of the parts would get here, we'd be good to go!
("...almost tempted to ask what a CD player is but the depth of mischievousness does not extend that far..." mentioned the goblin wondering if that CD couldn't by played in a computer by the bed, then adding "...I changed my eating habits a long while back, where to be honest I haven't eaten a three course meal is months, and where I mostly replaced cake with something non sweet as diabetes skips a generation, and yes my grandmother's blindness and leg amputation remind me that my seemingly insignificant actions today are not without their long term consequences if one gets there...)
repost from elsewhere the "I think of the Malaysian Airlines flight as a Schrodinger's Plane" thread
It's both flying around and blown to bits until someone finds it.
"...while we are thinking upon the missing plane we are not thinking about the probable east west war occurring this year but while we are thinking upon the war then we are not thinking about the collapsing economy..." mentioned the goblin, adding "...simply our priorities should not give in to their sensationalism, the media draws your attention away each time where a plane is just a plane, and where the war is more important but is yet in coming, but the economic collapse is as in slow then sudden, slowly now, already happening clearly happening too but without reportage even so as if to be not happening at all...", simply the goblin felt that if one follows the news one will swallow their agenda with it, blindsided to where their need be, so instead one had to become one's own journalist here based upon one's own assumptions, where foremost must be that real knowledge and true understanding is purposefully hidden from those who follow the media without question
The only arguement you'll get from me is the word "arguement" in the dictionary. To poorly quote Hemingway- "I went down below to see how things were (in the engine room) things were bad"
("...come let us share woes then..." went the goblin looking at his paycheck slip that came through the post this morning, and think it as worst one he'd ever had, then adding "...no, I'd get more on benefit but I like the work, and working too, so being poor is like saving up for the most wondrous something imaginable without bothering to do so...", in fact, the goblin would not have seen what he saw if he had been contented, saying "...the poor are us now but I'm awake by it...")
*Scowl's into his whiskey* Interesting that Jimmy Carter said the middle class when he was president are now the working poor. As a nation we've slid- and quickly- and I don't see us getting out of the abyss anytime soon.
I put my foot into my real estate agents tush- gently, as I only wanted her attention and not her anger- but we've got too much gang activity here in Lakewood- a small burg just south of Tacoma, which is just south of Seattle. With over 1500 gang members identified, and over 30 gangs, they won't let me deal with them my way- that is, hunt them down, kill them, take their money as payment due. Something about it being illegal/murder being wrong. Well my position is you're committing suicide by drugs, or I shoot you- which is less painful? Oh well, it is what God say's it shall be
("...yes, america's situation is going to get far worse still, but oddly one knows it to be god's work behind things when the bad go this unpunished and thrive throughout, so keep your eyes open now, and yes it's pain to open the eyes again isn't it..." remarked the goblin feeling the old soldier needed no reminding here, for he wasn't one of those 501c3 confined to barracks types, adding "...no the trickle down effect has merely been in its corruption only, not in its wealth per se, thus the rotting financial system, together with their too big to fail mentality too, is going to come to a head soon enough where note how ceasar, cromwell, napoleon and so many other military dictators have stepped in where things go too far, so greece's generals will probably be next for sure, though it won't end there it will merely be the watershed in an anti bank backlash, ah yes, you and I old soldier are here to witness that this is god's justice...")
repost from elsewhere, the "what are you thinking" thread
"...I suppose I'm thinking upon that difference between one's persona here, aka one's online-self then, and who one is in one's dailylife..." mentioned the goblin, elaborating "...no, the question becomes how to create a persona that helps compensate for the downhill of dailylife, as summed up in the persona replacing the person like some all engulfing act replacing its actor then, or by losing oneself in some writer's creation...", no, of course the goblin knew that no one could escape their dailylife really, only that one wasn't really aware of one's dailylife while online here, "...so it's an escape by preoccupation perhaps..." laughed the goblin at such a youthful delusion still, adding "...and why not too, where my dailylife simply means old age to me, yet forumland has no old age bar that which one discloses here, so wish me luck now my youthful act awaits me..."
Reading poorly written articles on obscure Russian websites is not researching the truth bro.
"...perhaps, but reading poorly written articles regardless of where they come from is keeping one's outlook open I believe..." went the goblin who like everyone else he imagined didn't know the half of it, adding "...america, the EU, and russia too, are each trying to grab something out of this, but the crimea is populated by russians whereas the western half of the country isn't, so now the country will split into two or will be entirely run by russia, all it means is that any pretense of independence for the little guys is wearing thin, a lesson not to be lost a third world country wherever they might be, for example what the EU did to greece was no different nor worse than what russia to its former satellites, or what america does to iraq...", "...it's called protecting our interests goblin where the little guy becomes a vassal of the superpower either economically through debt like is lesser EU countries, or through brute force like iraq and crimea..." went the voice in the back of the goblin's mind again, but the real war was not this one yet he felt, no the media war would come first, this wasn't that false flag that sets one into rage
Theatrum non absurdus vita? Biblia quantum dicendo 'haec in tempore propter electos breviabuntur "- id est, nobis remissa censuerit secare Jesus feliciter.
In quesiton, quantum est "remissa" nunc et in Christi reditu.
Latin, what a wonderful language. Somehow makes a point more poignant and on target
The problem is with reading "everything that's good" is there much writing out there and it's all good. I've reached the age where the classics- suma theological as an example- would just bore me to tears. I've reached the age of simply accepting God as God is rather than trying to dig out what God is or is not.
Fortunately- or unfortunately, depending on your point of view (Thinking of the old movie and song with the pointed man- or the pointless man, depending on your point of view" from "The Point"- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjfKteUBa_s ) I have a quandry that has no answer: A)If I go to Sunset School of Preaching then I'll be held to a much higher accountability when standing before God. B)If I do not go to Sunset School of Preaching then I'll be held to a much higher accountability for not doing my best.
*Sigh*
("...I enjoy your company and your choice of content too, at least you'll have these posts of yourself if you keep it up..." went the goblin who had been awake since 04h30am, sighing "...those dreams again, no not great insights into world topics per se, nothing like that then, more personal matters touching upon my insecurity at this point...", but the goblin's poverty was good, and he suspected that if anything it made him face facts, adding "...one learns to live without, a bit like drinking the dry white wine here, where later one grows to like it so much that sweet wine taste sickly sweet, no I'm neither cold nor in fear for my life, nor hungry neither, so I'm ok by default and like the dry white this might even serve me well in the long run...")
repost from elsewhere, the "crimea 'votes' to join russia, secede from the ukraine" thread
"...the trouble with any territorial devoice is when one tries to draw up their borders..." mentioned the goblin, suspecting that most of the territory would be clear but that there would be unworkable enclaves on both sides, adding "...this was hot moment that will now probably cool down getting bitter instead...", but the goblin's mind was elsewhere thinking upon this present day polarization and to what was to all intents and purposes coldwar 2, adding "...in war it's often said that there are no neutrals , which is true only in sentiment alone for one can remain undeclared and thus neutral by it, however in a cold war that statement rings true for there can be no neutrals for none are perceived as such, so no, there are only considerations to make and sides to choose between, where no doubt my country switzerland will side with the money..."
If you don't have insecurities then you haven't been paying attention to what life is, Goblin. It's part and parcel of being alive unfortunately.
Crimea votes- now there's a joke. On the other hand there's a small thread of truth in it too. The biggest joke is in the White House- "the United State's refuses to recognize the Crimean vote".
I just want to slap that clown so hard "Dude, you don't even recognize the Constitution of the United States- what do YOU know what is a legitimate vote?"
*Changes his bubble pipe for his real pipe, loads the corncob pipe slowly and deliberately, pours the water out of the water glass into the potted plant and replace's it with a hip flask full of whiskey*
A 1 Kiloton bomb isn't very large. This noise about "P waves" I don't think is true either- if P waves were so easily detected then why can't we tell when an earthquake will happen? This bomb reminds me of the old "Davy Crockett" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Crockett_(nuclear_device)
I have wanted one for several years- just the right size to deal with the gophers in my front lawn. And in the neighbors lawn now I think about it.
And yet, a 1Kt bomb is much larger than the Davy Crockett.
So far, the Clown in Chief in the White House has fired over 25 professional military officers. While this has allowed an almost unprecedented promotion rate to 3 and 4 star Generals and Admirals it's been hell watching all that experience go out the door- that "brain drain" is a terrible thing to waste and cannot be easily replaced.
Meanwhile, on local maters, this has happened about 60 miles due north of where my butt's parked: Seattle News, Weather, Traffic, Video and Sports | KIRO 7... | www.kirotv.com two people dead, many car's destroyed in downtown Seattle when KIROTV.com new's helicopter crashed right up the street from Pike Place Market (the place where they throw the salmon) and kitty corner to the Seattle Science Center (Where Elvis Prestly made his movie during the 1962 Worlds Fair)
The local clown from the Mayor's office mugged it in front of the camera for his opinion. You certainly did NOT want to hear MY opinion of his grabbing the spotlight in such a crash for political gain.
Other headaches I've had in the last 24 hours sans aspirin is getting parts to upgrade my radiation detector- to buy a $1.05 part with free shipping- but they'll ship it in 30 days. How about NO? I need that part NOW. So the parts are on their way used from Ebay.
Thus my life is fulfilled.
("...I don't know what to believe but I know for sure that I don't believe what I'm being told..." went the goblin who had thought that story to be unlikely too, if only because ever since that fukushima occured the americans, and not only one old soldier now, would be far more radiation aware, however the army purge gave the goblin goosebumps there, saying "...if history is anything to go by it's the army that steps in when things get too corrupt somewhere...", so it was as if the goblin was watching the fall of the roman republic where the republic still had its forum with its senators, only that the real power rested with ceasar backed by the ruling class and the army, save that over time the army and the wealthy fell out repeatedly where the army was then purposefully weakened to the point where when the welcomed end came in 410ad, and no, rome didn't fall as the say, instead the poor and the slaves opened the gates in hope of change, the old system was simply discredited...", where today too america, together with the EU as well, was fast running out of credit)
*Tamps his pipe, and reloads it, then takes a huge swig* While you were using the restroom I stumbled into this article online- and it's sent chills through my spine:
In Eastern Europe, the talk is of 1939
While Washington is talking about diplomacy, Poles in cafés and on social media are talking about the land-grabbing of the late 1930s that led to World War II.
By Ben Arnoldy 21 hours ago
US and EU sanctions against a short list of Russian leaders have not soothed jitters in Eastern Europe over the Russian-backed effort in Crimea to break away from Ukraine. While Washington is talking about diplomacy, Poles in cafés and on social media are talking about the land-grabbing of the late 1930s that led to World War II.
“I was out with a buddy on Friday and he said, ‘I bet people partied like this in August 1939 as well,’” says our correspondent in Warsaw, who has also lived and reported in Ukraine. “Looking at commentary in the Polish media, looking at what friends of mine are writing on Facebook, it’s kind of a depressing feel over here. People over here are concerned; they are worried.”
The sanctions apply to 28 different Russian and Ukrainian individuals; for now, the United States and European Union appear to have held back on broader sanctions against the Russian arms industry.
“Look, Putin can write a check to each of those people to cover the losses of their assets overseas,” says our correspondent. “I think the time for ramping things up slowly has [come] and gone, if there ever was one. The idea is maybe they [the US and EU] will do a little bit now and see how Russia reacts, and do a little bit more, but I don’t see that working.”
Poland is speeding up plans to modernize its military to NATO standards. Polish officials are talking of forming a joint Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian brigade. And the Polish prime minister is warning ... For the rest of the story, continue reading at our new business publication Monitor Global Outlook.
"The Christian Science Monitor"- while I disagree with their version of Biblical evidence, usually gets their facts straight and they do not believe in "yellow Journalism".
