  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've been to a few, as well as created my own message boards, but wow, this one rocks.

Why I am here:
My first book was just released, and although a fantasy, it has been getting great reviews from Christians. I can't say I am greatly surprised that it is being accepted, since I had Christian anti-fantasy readers monitor the book's story through the whole process. I did some searching for Chrisitan Fantasy forums and that brought me here. So I am here to check out the Christian Fantasy/Sci-Fi forums and get more involved in the community.

Why I'll stay:
Yep, I'll definitely be staying. What a site. I'll probably be spending most of my time at the Writers Guild to get and hopefully give helpful information. As stated above, I'll also be spending time in the Christian Fantasy/Sci-Fi section.
