  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Amy, Nancy,

Thank you for responding to my greeting. I agree with Nova, it is a bit confusing here because there are so many members. But again in God we can always find each other

 Have a good day.

Grace (light)

BTW, like Nova and God's Property, light was taken too.

Hi everyone! I can't believe God's property was taken! Who is the last post from, JPPT 1974? Is this someone from WOW writing under another name? I've got to get everybody straight here.

And what are all those symbols beside people's names? I guess I'll get used to these screens eventually!

DeNovo

Yes Grace!!!! You must tell us all about it!

Friday night a friend and I attended the Stations of the Cross. What a special time. The Church choir sung beautifully. I cried through most of it.

I have been going to the Stations of the Cross every Friday this lent and I agree they are a special time.

I also went to a seminar on Forgiveness last Sunday and Monday evenings and got so much out of it. Forgiveness is something that can only be done with God's help, but what a mercy it is when we are able to let go of the hurt and anger towards someone and forgive them. This is something that I know that I need to work on, but with God's grace I am slowly learning.

I can't believe that I forgot to tell you, I am now going to be a Eucharistic Minister to the home bound. I am so excited, this is something that I have wanted to do but just never got around to speaking with the Deacan who is in charge of this ministry. He was at the Stations of the Cross last night and I decided to speak with him then and there. I have often been a little envious of my youngest sister who works in Hospice. I have often thought that her work makes a difference in peoples lives where as I am a manager and although all work has value in His eyes, I do not feel that it makes a whole lot of difference. Now I feel that I can do something for my fellow brothers and sisters that truly has meaning.

Just as an aside, I really like the fact that this forum has spellcheck, like you Amy, spelling is not my strengths.

Hey, Amy, DeNovo, Light, GP, Nancy.......glad to see my buds

(Yes, I'm trying to set a smiley-usage record lately! :) )

Hey missy Amy, that friend who went with you was me, 'member :D She forgot already; I'm so hurt, just crushed. ;)

I almost cried a couple times myself......the singing was anointed, truly, and the readings....wow, really went right to the heart.

I'm not used to getting up and down so much for kneeling, though.....other churches should do that, too, then we'd stay nice & limber in the knees. ;)

Love you all and see you in a few days!

Ives

p.s. I'm off to see Amy's new play shortly.

Ames,

Well, I've decided to give it aother try. I can't figure out the probelm(s). Guess I haven't learned all the rules yet! Anyway, I just thought "WWYD" (What Would Yeshua Do), and I knew: He wouldn't give up, or want me to, but the Enemy would, and I can't let him, now can I?! So, here I go again! This time I'm asking Yeshua's help!

 Hello, all!

Hallelujah, I finally made it through and got my first post in today.....after an evening of trying to no avail yesterday.

Anyway, it's so good to be past this hurdle after getting message after message that my post was unacceptable for some reason. Whew, glad that's over with.

So, how's by you all?

Margolit!

Margolit, servant4Yeshuah! Heeeyyyyy!

Hail! Hail! The gangs all here!:groupray:

Speaking of Eucharisitic Adoration or becoming a Eucharistic minister, Forgive me but wasn't it Nancy who said she was going to do this?

After the Stations we had Eucharistic Adoration. It was very touching and moving. The Stations I have been to never did this. Was this unusual having the Eucharist exposed after Stations?

The fellow who plays Jesus in my play is a Eucharistic minister. He usually goes to nursing homes and such and give out communion. I think that bringing Jesus to the forgotten and the lonely really impacted his acting. One of the most moving scenes in the play is when Chris prayes over the bread. He puts a tallith (Jewish prayer shawl) on his head and then bends over the bread while praying in Hebrew. He prays with so much emotion yet in a voice soft and gentle. Then he holds the bread out to the audiance. "This is my body broken for you." When he makes eyes contact with you it's like Jesus is exuduing from him in waves of love. I'm sure a lot of this has to do with all the time he spends in the presence of the Eucharist.

When AmyLisa sends me the copies of the pictures that she took from the play I'll post a few.

I'm still working on the Catholic Passion play as well. You should see the great big cross they use for the crucifixion. All I can tell you is when the actor is hanging upon it what a realistic picture.

Hey! Wouldn't it be fun if we used this thread for our coffe shop, or Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks and just hung out and talked about what's been going on in our lives, or to just stop by and give a friendly "hello!" ?

OK "Hi everybody! How was your day?"
