Wow something horrible happened to me today, well not me personally. I left work early because I wasn't feeling good, and my brother works with me. However, my Mom couldn't bring him to work today because a thick heavy smoke was coming out of the steering wheel, which is very dangerous!! So my brother called them up saying he couldn't come in, the car is having trouble and he needed to go to the dealership, and we have another car but my Dad has it today, and I don't have one yet. Kind of a long story, well anyways my manager called him up and told him he would send someone over to pick him up, my mother told my brother she didn't want someone she didn't know driving my brother, my brother has been in two car accidents that almost killed him twice. So my Mom doesn't want someone taking him, I understand she's Mom, she worries. So my job told my brother he was just fired!! Now here is the thing, we are very short handed at work, they don't want to hire people, I am pulling all the weight, some people are lazy there!! Now I am going in tomorrow, what should I do or say?? What happenes if they start trouble with me, because right now I am angry at this! The manager who fired him, went on Vacation two weeks ago, and so did the other manager, and I was left by myself upfront, handling it all. Yet they think it's okay that they can go and play, but if an emergency comes up you get fired?! What happens if the car exploded or caught fire?? Then what?? I guess people don't care about others, just how much money goes in their pocket!!
The thing is in life...things happen! Cars break down, kids get sick, etc etc. If we fire all the people with issues then that leaves us with a pretty small workforce.
