Wounded Soldiers

The old saying - The Christian Army is the only one that shoots its own wounded. Remember Todd bently - the best example I can think of in recent history.

Rick Joyner really brings this out in his book "The Final Quest." here is a part of the book online...

The story of the good samaritan
is a good example to explain the current
questions...

in that story,
there was a wounded soldier...

the thieves were not wounded soldiers..
they were the wounders... not the woundees...

So, for the thieves to go to town
and complain that they were mistreated
by a scolding samaritan,
is a little ridiculous...

and to expect the one who scolded them
if he had come upon them while they
were mistreating the victim,
to Scripturally go to them and try to repair
the relationship is also twisting Scripture to
the max...

The thieves need to repent...
the samaritan would be well within his
rights to scold them as he caught them
abusing the victim...
he should not be criticized for scolding,
departing from, and considering them
totally unrighteous for such behavior...

I think he would be praying for them...
loving them in that way,
but to file charges in the city against him
for the scolding, while the thieves were
standing there with their stolen loot,
and bloody hands... well... it is laughable
in a sad way...

Now if the thieves ever repent to
the victim they robbed and beat...
then the Samaritan, and the victim
should do the Scriptural thing and
work to restore the relationship.

However, most thieves are still looking
to 're-beat' the poor victim...​

One more additional thought...

if I were the Samaritan,
and without repentance from the thieves,
would try to have a friendship with them,
and traveled in their company,
the
next victim they chose,
and I stood there watching, beholding,
and in their company,
not the victims,
well,
I would be likewise guilty of their sin...

so...
I would break relationship with them,
travel a different path,
or follow far enough behind to be
ready to scold their new attacks on victims...
and mend up the new victims...

they would probably not like
me following to scold their attempts,
and not like my binding up their victims...
so
most attacks would likely center on me...

Maybe what peacmaking really means is that you must never question someone who scolds you and thinks they are over you in the Lord..

I never felt I was over anyone in the Lord..
Have always taught against that....

I did use to be over a board,
part owner, and as such, I did have
to moderate and do something if
things got out of line...

at one time,
the language needed correcting...
it was improper...

when I sought to do so,
the board was taken from me...
so... I left...
left them to post the language they wanted...
did not tell them they could not,
any longer...
the board was stolen from me with the purpose
of continuing that kind of talk...
so...
did not 'lord over' them...
just left...

they answer to God...
not to me...

but when I was one of the two owners
of the board, I under God's direction
had to keep it Christian...
and when I could not do what God wanted
me to do... I left...

I started another board,
wherein I am very pleased with the language
there...
and no one there is 'lorded over' by me...

as far as the 'scolding'...
well, in finding the ones beating the
victim, I do tend to scold the beaters,
help the victim...
I do plead guilty to that....

but... I did leave immediately after
seeing the scolding did not result in
cessation of the beating,
nor repentance from the beaters...

decided a change of traveling companions
might make it easier to reach my intended
destination (heaven)

I hope someday,
they change their ways,
remember the 'scolding' they got was
laced with Scripture... and intended to
encourage repentance...

but... it has not yet resulted in repentance...

but... God has blessed me greatly...
the victim of the unkind (to put it mildly)
treatment by those abusers,
was a widow for a dozen years,
and I have been a widower for almost 2 years...
and
we recently have met in person
and
started seeing each other...

she is a wonderful person,
and
we love to talk about the Lord
and our ministries...
just took her out for dinner tonight...


guess there are some blessings from
defending the victims of some...

My opinion on this is...
we are to help the wounded soldiers...

yet...
if someone is a false prophet (whoever)
then the false doctrines need identified...
the person needs to be warned about...
and that is totally Scriptural...

II John tells us that if someone
teaches false doctrine,
and we do as little as to say
'Godspeed' to them,
we have become partakers of their sins...

so...
false prophets are not fellow soldiers...
they are on the other side of the war...

heretics, false prophets,
whoever they are,
are working on the devil's side...
and deserve no treatment as
soldiers on our side...

of course, it would be good
to pray for them...
love their soul,
while hating the false words
that come from them...

we need to also pray for the victims
of their false doctrines...

so... there are victims,
wounded soldiers,
that we should be concerned about...
but they are not the false prophet...

p.s. I am not here saying
who is the false prophet...
just referring to the principle involved...

which ones out there are false prophets
is a different thread, a different discussion...
this thread is on the helping of
wounded soldiers...
we need to remember that we
do not aid the devil in doing such...

so perpetrators of evil
in action or in doctrine
need to not be treated as wounded

There are many threads in this section
on him, from those who agree and from some who
do not agree with his doctrines...

a recent event of break up of his marriage,
& reportedly another woman...
as I understand is the issue at the moment,
and he, as far as I heard, is not preaching
right now....

hopefully soul searching, repentance,
doctrine checking is going on...
but
you would find out much more
to go back a few weeks on the posts
and find a number of threads wherein
some discussed him...

this thread is not for that discussion...

And this kind of post is why some ppl don't take you seriously, you purposefully distort the facts to make yourself look like the only one that can be right is you, and to disagree with you is to disagree with god.

(That's the same mentality that watchmen here warn about whenever a new "prophet" comes on the scene and starts teaching something not true to the word.)

Since you decided to share your version of what happened, i'll do likewise, unlike you however, i am not currently dating "the wounded member", so there will be no bias on my part.

a female user posted a youtube link to julie andrews singing the sound of music, to which i replied calling her a sadist. (with a smiley face no less) i was told by Murj here that sadist had sexual connatations, and was i aware of that, and did i mean that in a PM. BEFORE i had a chance to respond via PM, i was publicly rebuked on the board for having said that, BEFORE it could be settled privately. (As scripture so clearly indicates you're suppossed to do FIRST)

The board shortly disenegrated shortly thereafter.

You violated scripture on how to handle a dispute between ppl, saying you had no bias towards either me or her, and yet now you're dating said individual. You didn't like that ppl called you out on it, so you left.

you may also wish to inform the board here, that when it was denied to you that your posts would be deleted, you purposefully deleted 3/4th of the entire boards contents, (I notice you left that part out) trying to make yourself look like you "left in peace", when you did anything but.

So pretty much everything you've posted about the situation there is lies and half-truths, and i have saved pm's and posts from PD to prove it.

You got away with it there, but i will not let you malign me here.

That is why the Body of Christ have Watchmen, who warn others of these false teachers and prophets. But, sadly those "Watchmen" are accused of being gossipers, slanderers, and nitpicker, and many more innuendoes.

you used a word in jest...
and I had it removed...
it was inappropriate, even in jest...

the word had several meanings...
the best one was 'extremely cruel'...
which was not descriptive of the person
spoken to...

the worst meaning was
'one who enjoys cruel sex'
and that was totally wrong,
for this widow of 12 years had not
even dated anyone in that time,
and is a fine Christian...

I sent you an email..
and said that I knew you did it in jest,
and perhaps had not thought of how
some may read that..

so, I explained why I asked a moderator
to remove it...
and suggested you do the appropriate
