  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Wouldn't it be nice if it turned out
that all the apparent impotence
and inactivity on the part of the Republicans
all this time
was, in reality,
them laying low and holding back....
....waiting for the right moment
just before 2012
to spring into action
and surprise the heck out of the Dems??

No, what would be [really] "nice" would be if all of the Christians who've been just sitting on their couches and whining about "how bad things are" for so many years would get off their butts and get involved in the political process.

One of the main reasons this country is in the terrible [overall] shape it is in right now is the apathy, disconnection and uninvolved lethargy practiced by the majority of the "Christian" and "right leaning" citizens of this country for decades.

It is mostly our fault that there is such a mess right now, because we failed to exercise our majority power which allowed the INVOLVED [minority] Liberals to weasel their way into the positions of power they have now.

I will [also] point out that the only reason there is any level of a "moral base" in this country right now is because The Supreme Court still has a majority of Justices who lean right; if this were to change we would really go downhill fast.

The coming elections can be a huge blessing for those of us who believe in and desire a more moral, wise and Christian approach to our country, and that can easily happen if WE would save all of the "hand wringing", whining, wishing AND actually join the fight.

WE are the majority, those of us who "lean right" and the only way we lose is by leaving it to others to fight for us.

Whiners and cowards deserve whatever they get

Amen to both of you guys. We have immense potential to shape the nation's destiny, but it's gone fallow because we're wrapped up in the distractions of the culture. Trump's pandering to Evangelicals is proof that our voting block is critical. If we were more aware and engaged, the media wouldn't get away with half of its shenanigans, and the political and cultural grids would be reversed.

In my town churches will try to hinder christians getting involved see..But makes me wonder about What they are really about! I think there are groups who really want socialism under a Christian label. What needs looking into is how Communism took over China and churches in the later 1940s. You'd be shocked the deceits utilized.

Wouldn't it be nice if... the church took the same energy used for constant fighting and bickering over this and that (usually oneupping each other over differing convictions and viewpoints), and used it for praying for the problems of this world and the government, and then those actually involved in some way or another with politics to peacefully work together, regardless of party, on the various issues at hand?
