  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

no, but then again I did not and would not vote for him even if he was not impeached.

For having an errant son? Give me a break!

For not separating families, putting children in cages, lacing the Rio Grande with razors, sending immigrants on a bus to a city coping with tropical storms and floods, or throwing children into the river? Give me a break! The politicians that do those things are the ones who should be impeached.

The fault lies with the oversight committee, not the president.

Like others, it would depend on why. If he is impeached as "payback" for Trump being impeached and indicted, then yes. If Republicans find real evidence, not just innuendo and claims (particularly false claims about how witnesses testified) then no.

Depends on what he's impeached for.

If some impeachable offense turns up (which hasnt happened yet) AND Trump is the R candidate, that would be the worst case. A third party candidate isnt viable as R's are still gung ho for Trump despite all. D's jumping to a third party would just be giving away the White House to the most abysmal candidate. Thats the tragedy of the election system we have.

This poll could use a third category of "Maybe." Impeachment has become a cheap political weapon. You impeached our guy so we'll impeach your guy, so then you'll impeach our guy, then... When will it ever end?

Impeachment would somehow have to be made meaningful in my mind and I would have to weigh my vote against the alternative. I've always said I will vote for a turnip before I cast a vote for Trump or anyone Trump-like. There are some moderate Republicans I can vote for, but the farther they are from Trumpism, the GOP now discredits them as RHINOs and they'll never get on a slate.

Probably, but it depends on what he is impeached for. If it's one of the two articles that have already been submitted then yes I will vote for him.
Same here.

Would you vote for Biden

No, I wouldn't. He is one of the worst presidents we have ever had. I don't even know if he can tie his own shoes.

And no, I am not on the Trump wagon as I think he's also bad, but he's a lot better than Biden.

I would prefer Peter Sonski, but he isn't a viable option. I still might vote for him though if it's between the clowns that are Biden and Trump.

What makes you say this?
Biden as POTUS is rather prosaic, I’ll grant you but, Ford was pretty bad; Carter tended to micromanage things; Reagan did delegate quite a bit but then let things get out of hand what with Iran/contra; Bush the Elder was decent enough but got out maneuvered during a recession by slick Willy and was torpedoed by Perot; Bush (the Lesser) was abysmal.
Even though Nixon turned out to be a crook, his foreign-policy was top notch.
And no, I am not on the Trump wagon as I think he's also bad, but he's a lot better than Biden.
Maybe if they turn the White House into a federal penitentiary?

What makes you say this?

The fact Biden does not know how to walk up stairs without tripping over himself i.e. his mental state.

Never heard of them. You should link us with something on her.

You know kids are still being separated from families and put in cages right? I mean, the left wants to fully put that on Trump as if he personally ensured it was happening, but ignored that it started under Obama who built the cages and still continues until this day. But I guess only Republican presidents get blamed for that sort of thing. When Democrats are in power, it's the "oversight committee."

Bloomberg Media disagrees. Using statistics and charts, they show remarkable successes, including taming inflation, and great prosperity.

Their one ding is immigration, which they said is not entirely his fault...and his popularity, which i attribute to a raging propaganda machine and the gullible consumers of it.

Oh, in other words you’re parroting right wing talking points, okay. Good to know.
Their platform sounds like a return to yesteryear, golly gee, it’ll be so swell!
