Has this ever really happened to you or anyone you know, though, or are you purely anticipating it?

Have you ever sat down and gone through scenarios that actually MIGHT happen, like what you would do if someone offered your son drugs or tried to seduce your daughter? Because, either of those is a LOT more likely to happen than having to kill someone to save their lives.

But even for cops, that decision is a rare one. 97% of cops will never fire a bullet in the line of duty in their entire careers, and less than 1% will kill someone. It's not like you see on TV where they kill someone every week.

That depends on where you live Lambslove; where I live, I work in the emrgency room at our hospital, and we see police shootings come in more often than you think. It is not a rare occurance.

It happens more often than you think....... I am not basing my argument on what I watch on TV...... well thats technically not true because I guess the news is TV ;-) ............ there are stories on the news about police having to use that kind of force all the time......... I mean its normally not an everyday thing but it happens more than you think.

hello friend and God bless..there was a time in my life i thought i could not kill even to defend my family...i am a woman and am now 55 years of age...when in my thirties i was awakened by a loud noise in the house and my electic went out ...first the noise then no lights on..it was almost pitch dark...my feet hit the floor like a bolt of lightning because the first thing i thought of was my babies....even though the youngest was around 4 or 5 at the time.....i was on my feet before i knew it and ready to kill any thing that moved ....that you can believe....i would have if the intruder had not ran and jumped out the window.....i never though i had that in me to kill for the safety of my family...i was divorced and raising 6 children on my own except for the mighty and gracious hand of GOD ALMIGHTY ...i learned something that night.....if someone tried to hurt my children ....they would have a fight until i couldnt fight.......God blessed me with those 6 children and as their mother i am to protect them and that by the grace of GOD i will do and did do ...only i give God the glory for he took the fear away and gave me inner strenght and a physical strength i didnt have ...that night i could have wrestled a lion ... I SAY GOD HELP THAT INTRUDER IF HE HAD NOT LEFT....HE WOULD HAVE NEEDED IT.. :D ..AMEN ...GOD IS GOOD YES HE IS....now u seem to think that we do not have the GOD given right to protect our families.....but as i understand the word and know GOD better than i did at the beginning, (30 years ago)i would think GOD would think i wasnt much of a mother if i didnt try and protect my babies.....you see what i mean..i would lay my life down for them if it meant fighting and dying to protect them.....and why shouldnt i? He layed his life down for me....yes he did amen..and i know GOD feels that way about us..he wants to protect us his children as well...

they are all grown and have their own lives now......anyway.....thought i would put my two cents worth in....GOD BLESS YOU
