  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Would you buy this?

Disclaimer: I am not looking to spam my stuff, I'm not even linking to any sites I may have featuring my knits unless asked, nor will I post my future shop link unless someone asks in PM. I do not currently have a shop, but one is planned. I am asking for opinions, not looking to make a buck off anyone here.

As my disclaimer said, I am looking to open up a website to sell knits as a supplemental income. I'm not expecting to make enough to quit a day job, just a little extra spending money off something I love doing..knitting.

I made a prototype of a credit card holder, my own design based off other credit card holders I've made in the past that I've gotten positive feedback on. Its 100% cotton, durable, and machine washable. Would you be interested in purchasing such a thing? Photo will be added below.

Again, I am not asking you to sign up to buy anything, just wondering how marketable an item would be.

Secondly, what other knitted items would you be interested in purchasing. I have had great interest in dish cloths from family who also enjoyed those knits.

Thoughts? Anyone else have a shop and items that sell really well?

Any input is appreciated, but if its criticism please be constructive. Again, not asking anyone to purchase anything, just asking for advice.

That is adorable! I do not use credit cards, so I have no use for a credit card holder, but if it were larger/ purse size then I would buy such an item. I carried around a macrame purse from about 30 years ago up until recently when the rope was just too old and started all breaking up. I have contemplated making a new one, but lately I have seen some knitted and crocheted purses that are simply adorable.

You do really good work. I could certainly see people using these.

Have you poked around and done research on sites like Etsy or Ravelry? (I know they aren't directly analogous sites, but both would have some ideas or resources of use, I'd think.)
I haven't done a lot of research on Ravelry but I have begun to set up an etsy shop and have poked around there a bit. Thanks for your advice! :)

I like it. Great size. Wondering though if it would come in other colors and/or materials. Is it lined?

Thanks! Its not lined but I do have different yarns I plan on making it in. I'm working on a pink and white striped one now. :)

It's appealing. I like the small change purse size.

Good luck!!!
