If there was no afterlife in any form whatsoever, would you still be a Christian? And if so why?
Being a Christian is to be indwelt by the Holy Spirit for eternity through my faith in Jesus Christ. Therefore, if there is no afterlife, there is no Christianity. I would not have the choice to make.If there was no afterlife in any form whatsoever, would you still be a Christian? And if so why?
The whole basis of Christianity is to not suffer the second death and be unified with our Creator in the Kingdom of God. Christianity would not exist. As far as this life, the Kingdom of God is not of this world. If there was no afterlife in any form whatsoever, would you still be a Christian? And if so why?

Indeed we are as aliens and strangers in this world, this world is not our home and we are just passing through !The whole basis of Christianity is to not suffer the second death and be unified with our Creator in the Kingdom of God. Blessings.
Without the resurrection, we are to be most pitied of humans. If there was no afterlife in any form whatsoever, would you still be a Christian? And if so why?
It isn't the promise of tomorrow, it is the glory of God's love today. If there was no afterlife in any form whatsoever, would you still be a Christian? And if so why?

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?Without the resurrection, we are to be most pitied of humans.
I'm guessing that you mean something like, "Does this life, apart from the hope or promises concerning the afterlife, have enough to offer the believer to make it worth pursuing Christ?" Yes, most definitely. If there was no afterlife in any form whatsoever, would you still be a Christian? And if so why?

You mean, the world hating us like it hates our Saviour ( John 15:18 ), the suffering that goes along with belief ( Philippians 1:29 ), the trials and tribulations ( John 6:33 ) and the sadness when one realizes that family members will also persecute us ( Matthew 10:34-38 ) because we are "crazy enough" to believe in a Saviour that they can't see with their eyes? What about what Christianity offers in this life?
Because He bothered with a worthless sinner like me, when He could have left me to His wrath and judgment...Well what I'm looking for is people's motivation for being a Christian.
Most who profess Christ appear to think that, in my opinion. Is it just to stay out of hell and get into heaven?
Death is swallowed up in victory.O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
That's a good question! In truth, I'm sure I would. Simply because, every time I have gone my own way/erred only misery followed. I'm far happier, and have much more peace on this earth the closer I am to Jesus, and through him the Father. I would go so far as to say, I don't believe I could get through this life without Father, Son and Holy Spirit. If there was no afterlife in any form whatsoever, would you still be a Christian? And if so why?
