How could Messiah, Jesus, stop the killing of animals? He will really reign, how would he not be able to stop it? And prophecies support this being seen. Starting with Jeremiah 31:31-33, the new covenant is promised, which is of the blood of Jesus, which he said himself, which also in Hebrews 8 and Hebrews 9 shows is the one effective way for atonement with sacrifice, the priesthood, and the way to make clean in the needed way. Animals don't need to die for any of us. Animals didn't die for any at the beginning, in the perfect design, the early believers understood this and many refrained from using animal products, there would be return to that perfect design, with the redeemed involved. The blood of animals does not please God, this is said among the prophets. Yahweh God cares even, as would show from Proverbs 12:10. The compassionate Lord Jesus who is coming to reign, fulfilling prophetic scriptures, will have prophecy shown in Isaiah 11:6-9 and Isaiah 65:25 again fulfilled, there won't be the killing anymore. But we who are real believers could well desire God's will in our world as it is in God's Heaven, if we do it would start in our lives. Killing animals is not for betterment in anything and we can be much better without it. When sacrificing animals will resume, it will be without understanding any of these things, and it will need to be stopped.

We humans collectively are taking away the natural environments with vegetation that this world needs to stablize climates.

Hopefully Facebook can be accessed to view that. If humans were gone the world would recover. It won't just happen that way, though. We have yet other ways we can live that will stop contribution to worsening conditions in the world from us, growing things and not using resources that we can learn to do without will be important in that.

I would like to see the temple rebuilt and believe it would have some relevance to Christianity since it would be another "house of God". I however would be opposed to the continuation of animal sacrifices as I believe that is not necessary anymore, but as a gentile, I cannot speak to that. I would happily offer incense to God in the temple though!

However, this whole talk of the temple somehow stabilizing the Earth's environmental climate is silly. The temple may help smooth the political climate somewhat (if it is not built over the Dome of the Rock), but there is no guarantee it would.

is this the only way to get Ezekiel chapter 47 fulfilled.......
and the world sure does need living waters flowing from Jerusalem?

Whether we like it, as we may, or not, the temple in prophecy would be rebuilt when Yahweh knows it will be. Yet the actual Temple is what the temple that would be in this world is reflecting with modeling it, it is everlasting, in Heaven. Jesus, the Lamb of God, offered his blood to that temple when he suffered and died in the crucifixion.

Animal sacrifices won't be needed. Yahweh's purpose for what we should come to is like the perfection that was made for us in the beginning, shown in Genesis, and there will be no hurt or harm to any (Isaiah 11:9). There will be abundantly pleasant food from vegetation, and we who will come to that will find it is really enough for us.

We do have choices. Yahweh knowing everything will give prophecy in revelation correctly with knowing our choices, which is not the same as choosing for us.

But as I said, this in Ezekiel was not all prophecy. They should have built this, starting it when they were told to start building. Then there were things prophesied that would happen. That still waits though.

There is a lot of evidence that the First Century Messianic Jewish community were not offended by the sacrifices that many of them assisted in before 70 C.E. when the Second Temple was destroyed.

In my opinion this is probably one of the most important aspects of this entire question.

The probable reasoning as to why Messiah Yeshua - Jesus would bother to chase the money changers out of the temple area are important also.

There is a lot of evidence that many of the earliest believers, of the first century messianic community, were not even using food from animals, including various of the apostles. If they did not make issue with unbelieving Jews' way of worship, it was not that they had authority among all Jews, and they were more involved in their own community, and knew those ways of the old covenant were over, that those would not be continuing.

I don't think that this rules out the Jews having sacrifices though..... because Jews do not have to do exactly all that Christians decide on.....

This entire question shows a misunderstanding of Jewish law. I wish Christians would spend a little time actually studying Judaism in order to understand the Bible better.

This is not the first time in history that there has been no temple. Remember that when Judah was conquered and carried off into Babylon, the first temple was destroyed. Yet Daniel and others were still able to keep God's laws in captivity. How? It's because Hosea the prophet said, "The words of our lips (prayers) shall be as calves (sacrifices)." Hosea 14:2

The daily prayers of Jews are given the same names as the temple sacrifices. In fact, the reason Daniel prayed three times each day is because there were three sacrifices.

SOOOOO..... it is not necessary for the Temple to be rebuilt for Jews to keep the covenant.

Does that mean the temple won't be rebuilt? We are still instructed to build a house of worship in Jerusalem if we can. Right now there are obstacles in the way. When a way is found around those obstacles, the third temple will be built. Some say that building the third temple is the way to invite the coming of the messiah. Others say that the temple will not be built until the messiah comes. But one way or the other...

Yes, this is a small miracle for the God of Abraham.

No, age of miracles is over or such miracles are a silly myth.

No this would cause WWIII, we'd all die and no rain needed anymore!

This prophecy cannot be fulfilled until AFTER Zechariah 14:1 occurs!

I am open to the possibility that this miracle could occur!
