  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wouldn't God approve of whatever is good? Looking at the state of this planet and its inhabitants, I think it's obvious we have no business messing up another planet. No, God does not approve. I don't see the mystery here, and appealing to scripture as if it is a mystery, when the obvious is slapping us in the face, is ignorant.

You are standing on one
You might want to dig into that deeper. Satan is a sneaky one and I think he has got a lot of Christian's goats.

I'm beyond debating the subject as it gets ever more obvious the more one looks without minding the brainwashing tactics and generated content. The simple fact is a lot of people are listening to man and not God. Considering a lot of claims made in the world without questioning the men that are making those claims much. If we would question men more than we question God we'd all have a much better grasp on reality and be deceived a whole lot less. The Bible states the Earth is on foundations many times over and last I checked that's not the case for a floating spheroid.

The reason I won't debate? The evidence is slapping humanity literally in the face on a daily basis and if that isn't enough to wake people up, they simply.. are not.. listening.. for the truth. The world itself is screaming at the top its (metaphorical) lungs, "men are lying to you!"

No one is leaving this place. There is no star trek. Aliens are not aliens and they certainly are not... your "friends." There is no such thing as a benevolent anything that is an entity claiming to be from some place that not one person on this Earth can prove exists.

There are however fallen angels and demons of old who are legendary for their fantastical lies and deceptions. Tread carefully. The end times is slippery territory and the lies are much, much. . . bigger than you ever thought.

If you encounter an entity from "space," find yourself in a "spaceship," or encounter something that seems to be an "alien," call on Jesus Christ's name and watch it vanish and then you tell me what they are. Experience will solidify reality there and then. Be careful who and what you trust, for that is where doom finds men.

Offering opinions about places that don't exist is believing cartoons for adults. Extremely prolifically perpetrated propaganda with zero weight in reality.

Wake up, do the homework, or believe men and stay in locked into the fantasy. There are worse things than being labelled crazy... such as being actually gullible.

This is not a jab an anyone, but I hold strongly to the conviction that my brothers in Christ deserve the truth I know they genuinely desire in their hearts. Therefore I respectfully lay the challenge at their feet to question the narrative and the supposed evidence. There are no planets, and no one is standing on one now.

No one is leaving this place. There is no star trek. Aliens are not aliens and they certainly are not... your "friends." There is no such thing as a benevolent anything that is an entity claiming to be from some place that not one person on this Earth can prove exists.

Nothing BobRyan said had anything to do with Star Trek tropes, such as warp drive, alien species and so on. The existence of other planets does not mean that they harbor intelligent life, nor indeed that planets outside the Solar System can be safely reached. When it comes to space colonization, many regard the most realistic option as man-made space habitats: rotating cylindrical or toroid structures whose rotation would simulate the pull of gravity through centripetal acceleration (popularly called “the centrifugal force”), which would work with a large enough cylinder or torus comfortably (a smaller one would have some disadvantages, such as inducing dizziness; the larger it is, the less violent the acceleration and the more comfortable, although the results might still be less comfortable than living on Earth, although that could be compensated for perhaps by reducing the gravitational pull, although that has its own disadvantages vis a vis muscular atrophy.

At any rate, the planetary nature of Earth, the existence of other planets and the accessibility of planets in the Solar System, and the possibility of human transit to the Moon are settled scientific facts.

In contrast, much of Star Trek is wildly implausible and unscientific; warp drives may be possible, but would require exotic matter, and would also imply time travel with every movement, since C (Light speed) is actually the speed of causality in the universe, the transporters probably violate the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle since they would require knowledge of both the speed and momentum of the particles being transported, which is impossible, and as for lots of aliens who look just like humans except for forehead ridges, and even more strangely, can interbreed with us, well, that’s highly unlikely.

And it is the case that many people who report being abducted by aliens have a certain … characteristic suggesting an encounter with something not natural but demonic, however, this again has nothing to do with the idea of colonizing other planets or space travel in general, since scientists seriously involved in this regard such accounts with extreme skepticism. Indeed television programs like “Ancient Aliens” are nowhere ridiculed more heavily than in scientific and engineering circles.
