I was just wondering if anyone has anything to say about two of R&Bs most awesomely atrocious artists,
Lil Kim and R. Kelly?

Since I noticed that noone agreed with me (in another sub-forum about the Pussycat Dolls Show on CW, with Lil' Kim as one of the judges) that Lil' Kim is DISGUSTING, I decided to create a thread about how I cannot stand those two artists who continously help to put my race of brothers and sisters down in the media. I'm not saying that there aren't any other gangsta rappers or artists who help to put my race and all races of women, period (esp. Black women) down, cuz there are,but these are the two that stick out the most, like a sore thumb!

So anyone else wanna sound out about how horrible these people are and how they oughta leave their jobs and never come back to the music biz unless they clean up their act?
Any comments? :)

By the way, if R. Kelly is the KING OF R&B, I'm the QUEEN OF ENGLAND! LMAO!!! :D :D :D :p
Please, gimme a break! Luther Vandross is the King of R&B (or one of them) as far as I'm concerned! How dare Kelly compare himself to great people like Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, MLK, etc?

I have a Lil' Kim poster in my room, the one from around Hardcore.

But serioulsly, I have no problem with them. How are they exactly putting your race down? 'Cause Paris Hilton and the kind aren't doing a good job for their race either then. I'm sorry but I just don't get what you're so upset about.

^ I'm with antiarte on this.

I have to admit - hearing R.Kelly compare himself to MLK Jr. wasn't his greatest moment.

I don't listen to R.Kelly - I'm not a big fan of R&B. But... I see it as entertainment.

Likewise, Lil' Kim. She's trashy, now looks like a Gremlin, and served a prison sentence. Sure, she's not a role model - but she's an entertainer.

Also, I don't look at all black women & men as being similar to R.Kelly or Lil' Kim & Co. in terms of attitudes, or personality, or whatever.

And I say that as a white person.

Paris Hilton isn't helping the image of young White women too hot, not to mention. :) And as a young Black female, I, myself can't tolerate too much of Lil Kim and R "Smelly".

I dont think either has the impact that they had years ago when Kym was first starting out she really stood out for her lyrics etc but now there are plenty of other female rappers doing to better then she ever Did

as for R Kelly these days his best work IMO comes on guest spots on songs I think the 'Trapped in the closest' series turned a lot of people off him and he won't recover from that
