What would you say? This no insult to Michael Jackson (he's the greatest performer ever), but his performance of "You rock my world" @ his 30th anniversary thing was no credit to him. The miming-ish stuff had a terrible amount of reverb (the work experience guy must have been fiddling with the SFX pedal :p), and the mic didn't seem to pick up any of the ad-libs very well.

I thought it'd make an interesting thread. Thoughts?

1977 Aerosmith at Alpine Valley Music Theatre. They were so high, they nearly got booed off the stage. A little known band from "Down Under" had just played a great set(AC/DC) and Aerosmith was awful in comparison.
Peace,
Eusebios.

Maybe 4 months ago, I saw Tom Jones on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Apparently, Jones was making some sort of "comeback," and not only did he sound horrible and try to dance (man, I cringe just thinking about it), the song contained this line, or something very similar: "I want to blow up this party with a sex bomb."

I'm not joking. I really wish I was.

It was sad. Conan acted like it was a great performance and everything, but I think you could tell that he knew how bad it was.

White Stripes in Chicago July 1st 2003. The worst thing I've been subjected to in a long long time. The sound at the venue sounded like something the guys and I would have rigged up in my parents garage durning high school.

Hehehe, that sounds like a good time to me. Something tells me the White Stripes would sound better to me in that kind of environment, but then I could be wrong.

Second the motion.

2nd place would have to go to Hank Williams Jr. on his late '80s live album. The guy was so incoherent he probably would have melted the breathalyzer. Why on earth the record company would release this particular night's concert is a mystery to me.
