A year or so ago I kinda went off the rails a bit and rejecting God worshipped Satan. A few months (6 or so) I re-found God and have stayed faithful to him since then; but do you think that after rejecting God and worshipping the devil, one can recieve salvation or are they damned no matter what they do? Would God truly forgive such a thing?

You sure did walk on thin ice but you still have a chance.


You have not yet been ANOINTED by GOD with the HOLY SPIRIT ( BORN AGAIN, SAVED ) therefore you are no different than one that steals or murders.


Now if you have finally come to the decision where you want to commit your whole life to GOD and HIS WILL, then you are ready to be ANOINTED.


But when you do that, you seek GOD'S WILL in all you do. That's not to say in times of weakness we do not sin. But we try not to and we ask forgiveness when we do.

Yeah, it honestly doesn't matter what you've done so long as it's repented and behind you, the challenge is making sure you don't backslide into it again; guard yourself from it as strongly as possible.

In the NT, Paul persecuted and killed Christians. Yet he became an apostle to Christ. I'd think that's a bit worse than much else.

Most importantly, How Powerful is Jesus' Blood. Can His blood only cover X amount of sins? Or does His blood have the power to cover all like the bible promises? JESUS' BLOOD PAID FOR IT ALL.

Thing of Jesus blood as a credit card fully paid. No matter how much we spend there is always more grace.

His Blood was for all our sins. Just because you went as far as Satanism remember:

"38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Nothing can seperate us from the love of God!!! Not even us.

Thankyou all so much for your replies. I had turned back to Christ and committed my life to him and all was fine but I just started having these doubts in my head that maybe because of what I'd done I'd never be able to recieve salvation no matter how many times I asked for forgiveness. I guess I'm just in a moment of weakness so prayers would be great but thankyou for helping me see that Christ's blood pays for all sins no matter how bad of disobedient they are.

The only satan, or devil is the evil of human nature. Also, our individual ego, the me, me,me aspect of our personality is the thing that cuts us off from God.

But back to the original OP; If someone who was/is a christian and then decides to follow or worship 'the other side', then thats just a kind of rebellion, that i think everyone encounters at some point; been angry with God ect.

Look. I refuse to accept that Satan exists, therefore i will not be influenced by such a being. I am neither a theif nor a murderer but am guilty of sins, just like everyone else here that posts here.

If Satan exists, then he/she/it must be an insane spirit or made that way by God himself for some unfathomable purpose, either way, how many will say on the judgement day 'Satan made me do it' and not be excused? If Satan is responsible for leading people into temptation, then all the guilt and blame for every sin ever commited should be on his shoulders and therefore every person thats walked this planet will attain salvation; ie universal salvation.

Eby, why would you ask for something you already have? You RECEIVED his COMPLETE forgiveness. I say received, because it was a gift of LOVE and GRACE from Jesus. If we could bring about our own forgiveness by asking for it, would Jesus have needed to pay our debt? If you have to ask for forgiveness everytime you fall short, that would mean that Jesus did an incomplete job at the cross, and we all know that is NOT the case! Re-read NatsumiLam's post, and ask the Lord for discernment regarding his grace.

You can not accept part of the Bible and leave other parts out as you see fit. Doing so makes the bible just another book. If it is the insperated word of God ... eithe you except it all as truth or you dont except it and call God a liar.

I Thess 2:18

Just one example of biblical proof that Satan the entity hinders man.

Not to mention Jesus dealings with Satan in the desert

If you look all through the word you can see "unclean spirits", demons, devils and so on. No difference other than satan is the boss.

Just know no matter what God created satan. God is the boss of creation. No equal power between the created and the Creator.
