I was at church about a week ago. A lady made the comment that we need to worship God for who he is, and not what he does for us.

This is something to think about. Would you continue to worship God if he never answered another prayer for you, or never blessed you again?

Second, who is God do we fully understand who he is? I mean we use words like "almighty" "glorious" and "everlasting" to describe God, but he is unlike anything that we will ever encounter on earth. So how do we worship God for who is he, when many times we do not fully understand who is is?

I hope this makes sense.

I don't worship him for what he can do for me, I worship him because he is my God.
I've gotten into this discussion with other local Christians and they think its "cute" that I can accept Him without knowing any of the "why's". I don't need to know anything more than that he loves me to be able to love Him and worship Him. I can't explain it any better.

The fact that God has never once answered my prayers. This made me loose my faith in any organized religion. Then again, the idea of God as superman also bother sme. I have a hard time having blind faith in something as intangible as the idea of God as superman, someone you never directly encounter. Interesting thing, though, is that I actually believe in the teachings of jesus, though, I don't think that his divinity is important to what he taught us about how to treat each other.

Then again, when I consider some of the writings of certain 'christian' authors, I don't want to be at all associated with people like that.

Its funny because I was thinking about this a few days ago. I was staning there one night, before going to bed, brushing my teeth, just thinking about how amazing it is, that I, little ol Candice, has a personal and intimate relationship with the one true living God. The one who made the heavens and the earth. And for I think the first time ever, I was uteerly blown away. And the thing is, I am at a very low point right now in my life. It seems as though none of my prayers have been answered... and yet... there I was in the midst of this amazing God!!

I think alot of the times, and I am guilty of this too, that we spend alot of our prayer time asking for things, now I dont think thats bad, but sometimes we just gotta step back and praise God for who He is.

I think its cool that I went thru that, because I hate where I am in my life, because I know I am not really where God wants me... I went back to University this year, when I have a full on call for my life to be a Missionary... and until I fulfill that call... I think I am oging ot be miserable.

But yetI am the midst of the pain I am in at school... I was still able to just worship God... for who He is. And I really truley pray that you all are there too because its such a cool feeling

......................humm............... hope that makes sence...... there I go rambling again

*Shuts up and walks out*
