Here I am again boasting about our God but.. lol... I just can't help it. I have to share this with you.
Last night during my evening prayer the Holy Spirit led me to awesome worship and praising. His Holiness was so present that I felt myself like an ant and when I raised up hand to Him I could feel every bone in my arm creak of death and sin. Yet I managed to say to Him "I love you".

You can't really worship God without the help of the Holy Spirit because God wants to be worshipped in the truth and in the Spirit. Can't remember the passage but it's in the Bible
Ok, I found the passage:

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.
John 4:24

Hey Alatir! I think it's great to boast about our God..and I enjoy reading your posts!

Thanks for sharing that! It makes me think how it would be like to stand before Him in heaven...actually I don't think we would be able to stand when we meet Him, lol. That's great that God showed this to you! This Sunday my pastor was talking about how sometimes we forget that God is holy and treat Him more like a 'buddy'...when in reality, yes He's our friend, but He's more than that... Sometimes it's awesome and humbling to feel yourself so small and know that the God we worship is indeed the "King over all kings". The Holy Spirit has lead me to this place before, and that's usually when I love singing songs like:

We fall down, we lay our crowns
At the feet of Jesus
The greatness of mercy and love
At the feet of Jesus
And we cry,
Holy, holy, holy
..is the Lamb



Although there have been times when I didn't want to sing at all, or even say anything. Our God is truly an 'awesome God'.

I completely agree that we can't worship God without the Holy Spirit....I'm so thankful for Him! It's amazing to think that He lives within us, because we're so sinful and He's so..well, holy! But I think that in the new covenant the 'temple' is the believer..not any building. I would never have dared to believe that if the Bible didn't say so..because ..who are we, that God would dwell in us. I love the Holy Spirit because it's by Him that we have a relationship with God, and He's the one who convicts us of sin, leads us to repentance, lets us feel His presence, etc. Praise God!

By the way, random story: this Sunday in church we sang this song..I don't know what it's called, but I remember a part of it was "..I'm desperate for You..and I'm lost without You" ..I love that! I think Jesus loves it when we realize that we need Him and when we come to Him "empty handed".
