What exactly IS worship? I don't know what it's classified as, actually.. Is it singing, praying, just talking or what?

the short version of that answer is that its a lifestyle more than anything. Choosing to go to church rather than staying home or going out with your friends. Choosing to help someone in need rather than walking past them. Singing is one way we express our worship. We are told to worship God with all we have which could be with voice, money or time.

I agree that worship is a lifestyle. You should worship God in all you do by doing everything the best you can and for His glory. Worship isn't only what happens in a church though that is included.

I would agree with most people above. Worship is NOT limited to music. We have the opprtunity to worship God in every aspect of our life. Don't forget that the Christian journet takes years and that each of the things that need to be learned and need to be changed may happen over time, not all at once.

I agree with and appreciate all the replies.
Worship is singing, praying, talking as you said and also even a simple adoring thought about God. Worship is Worship. Work is also Worship i.e doing what brings glory to God. Our holy way of living is also a worship in the sight of God.
The Bible says, "Those who worship God must worship in truth and spirit". This means our worship must be from the bottom of our heart.
It is better to worship God from the bottom of our heart than speak empty words of praise from our lips.
If it is a song/hymn, then, we ought to sing the song/hymn in a meaningful way before God as if we are understanding the meaning of the lyrics and agreeing with the lyrics of the sng/hymn with the bottom of our hearts.

Jesus called many things worship, from people saying "I BELIEVE.." to "Lord i need you..." in the gospels.
worship is nothing more than a heart for Christ expressing itself to him and giving itself to him, in anyway. its a heart crying out.
its just your expression unto God. thats why the important thing is that you sincerely express yourself to God, not how you sound.
in spirit and in truth,
it must be truely sincere, and it needs to be in the spirit.
worship is supposed to filled with the supernatural power of the holyghost, not just peoples gifted voices and music skills. you dont worship like you sing on broadway, talent and musical skills arent important and dont make it any better, rather, often only worse.
thats what gets me today, you have very talented people singing worship songs, but their talent and vioce is all they have and its not enough.
the holyspirit brings worship, not peoples talents and skills.
