Hi are there any who are in worship dance ministry with flags out there? How does it work in your church?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My church doesn't have a Worship Flag Ministry.. well at least not an organized one.. But we do have flags in the front.. and can get up and use them during service..
Now.. that said.. The Holy Spirit has been urging me of late to not only get up there and wave the flags.. but to move and dance with them.. and I am the one that prefers to be in the background.. was raised to be quiet in church.. not draw attention to myself..
I have always felt that I was born with 2 left feet.. and have never felt graceful.. but God is working with me.. and has given me freedom.. and boldness.. and I am up there moving every Sunday now..
Because God said to.. He said to deny myself.. and my feelings of inadequacy.. and forget about what others may think about this 54 year old who is dancing and flag waving.. and even singing.. (not that's another whole story.. *grin*)
So there may be a ministry in the making..
we'll see where the Spirit leads..
All for God.. in God's Way.. In God's Timing.. In Jesus' Matchless Name, I pray..

That's great to hear Glenda...that God is working with you....always block everthing, everyone out And just DANCE for Him
As for NorwayUnn....at my church we do have a dance minisrty and just recently we have been using flags and they looked beautiful with the choregraphy that was put together. We also use streamers that also look wonderful when dancing with.
Usually we will use to flags for one person and and practice until we get our routine down pacck. It does take alot of practice, i can tell you that from expericence, but you will definatly get the hang of it.

Dance ministries, when led by God can be such a blessing to those dancing or as I like to call it MINISTERING and also to the congregation. Praise Dance is not about the one dancing it is about The One we dance for. My Pastor through prayer was led by God to allow me to birth a dance ministry at our church. Three years later we are still praising God harder than ever. I just recently incorporated flags and streamers into the ministry and they are beautiful. I thank and praise God for the dance ministry it is truly a blessing to me because I have no formal background training in dance.

I've seen the different ministries of the arts & it adds a whole new dimension to worship. I believe if the devil was the highest of angels then he knows the importance of the arts in worship.
Just look at how many people of all ages respond to dance & music in the seculiar world. They worship these people unfortunately...Well & sports/athletes should be ministering in their own ways to but that's another story I just think these are 2 of the most unused avenues to reach people.
I grew up in a church were they wondered if they needed an organ since they already had a piano. Really. I always wanted to dance, but didn't have the opportunities.
Took ballet for 3 years as an adult, but I simply could not remember the routines for the life of me so I quit. I took ballet thinking that's what the Lord gave me a word for, but maybe He just meant dance worship somewhere sometimes. hmmm
Anyways thanx for the encouragement in your posts...you just keep on rocking on for Jesus
