  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

well...this question might sound REALLY silly...but would me getting a rabbit be sinful in a way? You might be thinking "well DUHH no...why in any circumstance would getting a rabbit be sinning?" which seems you know...like the obvious answer...but like...you see~ I -really really- want a rabbit....and I'm afraid that I might be putting that before God...or maybe after i get it I'll be putting it before God, which isn't good....it's kind of like...finding happiness in worldly things, in a way. And also...I'm kind of a possesive person, so I might be all possessive with it after I do get one...which again, isn't good either. Plus...would getting a rabbit be a greedy thing to do?
And like...I'm afraid that I'll treat it like a toy or something if I do get it...not like a real living creature it is...
sorry if this question sounds really dumb~

A rabbit is not a worldly posession... this is a creature of creation. The relationship between ourselves and animals and the responsibility and love we need to develop in us to earn their trust, and the appreciation of their natural beauty as they move and twitch their whiskers and lick their paw to clean their ears, is something that brings us closer to God not further away.

Hope that helps. :)

Rabbits are completely awesome! I have two of them. They don't make noise or smell. They also stay cute! Mine use the litter box. I keep both of them in a cage in my living room so they get lots of attention. I suggest getting a rabbit from a rescue, that way it will most likely be fixed. Read up on rabbits. They are great pets, but not hardy like cats and dogs.

I am the proud owner of a Rabbit named Socks. Socks has been with us almost two years and as long as Peek A Choo my dog isnt around Socks will cuddle and snuggle on my lap no problem, if Peek comes around he is all too anxious to get back in his cage.

Socks is a real trip in a half when it comes to rattling a bag he goes ape in his cage and can barely wait to have that feeding dish refilled. He loves alfalfa sprouts and we have a salad once a week together. Well not literally I eat mine from my dish and he eats his .
