Hi, Sunshine
It helps to have hope for others, so we are not concerned only about ourselves.
Also, Jesus is making "intercession for us" > Romans 8:34. So, we have Jesus praying for us according to His faith
So, it's not all on you.
You know how Peter so messed up, big-time, by denying Jesus three times. But here is what Jesus said to Peter, even before he did that >
"Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren." (in Luke 22:31-32)
So, even before Peter failed by denying Jesus, Jesus had already prayed for Peter that his faith would not fail. And I see that Jesus also prayed that Peter would become stronger and be able to strengthen others. So, Jesus Christ's prayer was there for Peter, even before he sinned like that. And I understand that the prayer of Jesus helped make Peter become strong, yes, but also able to strengthen others.
So, this is what we can pray for, that we do not only get enough strength for our own selves, but we have hope for others and that God makes us able to strengthen others
Because you are not the only one who needs it
Peter did.
And have you read about Paul's thorn? 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
It looks to me like Paul had faith to heal people and cast out demons, but he could not make that thorn go away. But God's grace is sufficient to make Paul able to win against that thorn, and even take "pleasure" (2 Corinthians 12:10) in his problems . . . while he did things in God's grace
